Pitchers leaving the mound, and taking forever to decide on a pitch with the catcher is nearly as big a problem. I'd like to see restrictions on both. In the late 80s through 2000 I don't ever remember seeing pitchers leave the mound as often as they do now.

The universities would never allow it. ######, several conferences don't even mandate drug/PED testing.

The NCAA does not regulate the personal lives of it's players. It is not called upon to do so, that's up to the schools and conferences. The NCAA is called upon to regulate the amateur status of the players. FSU and the ACC are the bad guys here. Not the NCAA.

I think Nolan has a system. I just think it's not effective. It allows far too many shots against, and does not generate enough scoring chances. The counter attack offense in the NHL has diminished significantly in importance as a result of the focus on possession. And if motivation is his primary weapon, he's obviously failing miserably. I
