    According to the article, they were lying to him. He had no reason to believe there wasn't millions in his account and investments making money. Also, they followed him to Shattucks then UM then LA. That seems a little sheltered to me, Having mom and dad 5 minutes away well into adulthood.

    The hills to the south push a lot of the wet air north, when it gets to the flat area around buffalo, it spills out onto land. South Buffalo is on the bad end of a funnel. the good news is the lake will freeze half way through winter and the lake effect will be done. The Tug Hill Plateau on the east end of Lake Ontario doesn't get that mercy.

    5 of the last 6 Stanley cup champions are on that list. The data does not tell both stories. This is almost proof of how to build a cup winner. It shows that it is nearly impossible under the new CBA to build any other way. It's not saying you are definitely going to win this way, but it does say that without following this path, you have very little chance of winning the cup.

    The hope lies in today's scouting being lightyears ahead of that era. Everyone knows who the most likely hits are at draft time. I think our odds are much better now.

    Pommer is leading the Wild in points, Vanek in assists, and Miller is 11-3 (and actually got a REAL Shutout). Nashville, Vancouver, and the Wild are all doing well out in the West. The stink didn't stick.

    4 of the 6 qbs you listed in the first set were taken in the top 32. And you're not convinced on Wilson, so that leaves Romo who was undrafted. You don't need a top five pick, but at least having a fist rounder would be nice. You're comparing three first round picks to two first round picks.

    I think the team being low on talent and experience is on the GM and is intentional. I think the team performing below even their low talent level has to be put on the coach and captain. And I don't think that part is intentional. Murray's comments about Nolan choosing his own staff sound an awful lot like, "I gave Teddy ample rope. I made some suggestions, but ultimately he pick the exact rope he wanted. We'll see what he does with it."

    It can all be true and we'd still be last in the league. 4th liners, some ok 3rd liners, a couple scorers who need help from their line-mates, and one good D-pair sounds just like the recipe for DFL.

    so the way this works is we get these every 15 games or so now, then by the end of the season they're happening every 8-10 games, then by the end of next year every 2-3 games and the mistakes and problems in between aren't quite as bad. This is what the other side of a rebuild through prospects looks like.
