  1. This is what I expect, with RJ as the wildcard.
  2. http://ftw.usatoday.com/2014/12/rangers-kevin-klein-nhl-ear-ot-goal-penguins hockey.
  3. Meh, they were drafted 5 years apart. Still fits.
  4. If he was their homer, they'd love him too. And we would find him over the top and grating. But he makes the game more interesting. He called all the 1-0 victories in the 90s and made them feel like basketball games. I'm pretty sure we're all ruined forever thanks to him. No play-by-play will ever be sufficient.
  5. My cousin once said, and I think it's not much of an exageration, "If RJ was cloned and called all the NHL games, Hockey would be the most popular sport in America."
  6. wait wait wait wait wait... The Navy's laser cannon is deployed with an X-Box controller?
  7. next 5 Sabres games are against 3 current CHL Teams, 1 former CHL Team, and 1 soon-to-be CHL team. This could be very good, or very very bad.
  8. yeah, I agree with this. the "LA" model could be renamed the "not Penguins Model"
  9. Who are the current "generational talents" in the NHL? Crosby, Ovi, and Stamkos(maybe)?
  10. I would rephrase this sentiment to say "As an American, I am ashamed that we did these things." I'm also proud that we admitted to it so soon after the fact. I'd like to see some concrete action taken, particularly by clarifying the law so that John Ashcroft and Alberto Gonzales don't think they can approve these things again.
  11. The things outlined in that report summary are not necessary. At all. Ever. They make us weaker and less safe. They were a colossal mistake and shining light on them is the only way to make it stop and have any hope of preventing it in the future.
  12. Absolutely, we happen to have one of those guys. All I'm saying is that I think that will matter when we get down to the final 4.
  13. Trading Enroth would solve the problem immediately.
  14. There is only one player that would be considered for an all-time nhl roster.
  15. I'm not sure. There has been exactly one NHL all-time great player in the history of this franchise. I think that will matter when it comes down to it. I don't think the Connection will finish 1-2-3.
  16. They are still feeling the burn from the Gretzky trade. Makes them gun-shy.
  17. I think with one more top 10 draft pick forward, we'll be the team with 10 20-goal scorers. It doesn't really matter how you get to 250 as long as you get there. Getting McEichel just gets us to 280. Zemgus, Moulson, Ennis, Reinhart, Grigorenko, Armia, 2015 1st Rounder, one defenseman and 2 of our 334 second round picks all could easily be 20 goal scorers. kinda like the 05-06 team
  18. it was definitely when he hit the boards with his face that the damage was done. Not sure that hit's even a minor penalty (unless it's thrown by Patty K), looks like just ###### luck.
  19. Except Zemgus. Zemgus is Begotten, not made. Consubstantial with the Motherland. Through him, all wins are made.
  20. I can't see Zemgus NOT hitting and trying hard in the ASG... which would be weird for the ASG...
  21. At some point they are going to have to learn to win with a human goalie. Why not now? I'm talking about his save % in his last 7-8 starts. it's in the stratosphere. It will come back down to his average, and with our SA, that will mean 1-2 more GA per game, and that will mean we lose a lot.
  22. If he can be traded, now is the time. His value isn't going to go up when his save % comes back to earth.
  23. Because it's not about the first down in the first quarter holding calls. I'd like to see penalties in the red zone, resulting in a first down, and penalties that occur on a 3rd/4th down. Just glancing quickly at Denver's penalties, looks like an awful lot of penalties on first down, which makes sense, because that's when Payton takes the risks that might lead to holding, but in the end doesn't have a huge effect on the game as say a penalty on a successful 3rd down conversion.
