Darren Dreger @DarrenDreger Things are percolating around Sabres Dman Bowen Byram. Trade conversations are happening with Calgary, Vegas, LA, St Louis among those interested. Also hearing an offer sheet on Byram is being contemplated.

as much as I am been negative about this team (for good reason), there absolutely will be a big name trade. The only thing I worry is that it is going to be the wrong one, and Buffalo will pay dearly again down the road.

This would be enough to allow me to think they MAY have a chance to fight for 8th. I could not care less about being a contender because they are still so far away from being on that level. Can they please just give the fans a season where it's not over by Christmas? It's unreal how many meaningless games have been played over the last 14 years, totally unreal.

At bare minimum, we still need an absolute stud on the top 6 and a legitimate #1 goalie. That would at least get us into contention for the 8 spot. To crack the top 3 in the division is still years away.

Buffalo will never ever pay one player that much money. They still have about three more major holes to fill just to even talk about getting into the top eight. This is crazy talk

Honestly, I have never heard of either player coming back and I REALLY liked Peterka. I had zero emotion on Mitts and Savoie so in a year where BIG things need to happen to crack the top 8, this is an awful start in my eyes. Go get Jason Robertson (yeah right) and maybe there is light at the end of the tunnel.

At this point, I hope Adams trades every single prospect and the number nine pick for some decent NHL players to make one final run at the playoffs while my son is still in high school this time next year, I will have jumped ship completely. Just give me one playoff appearance this year and I promise I will go away.

We all knew that the second Adams was kept on, any trade value coming back for these moves was going to be awful. If the owner doesn’t care, honestly, why should we? this is where I have landed and I just hope that a new GM next year can get much better trade value for Dahlin.

It's too late for that, there is no improvement from year to year. Last year was a disaster so it's too late for Peterka. Now Buffalo has to make it a priority to stop this from happening to Dahlin and Tage. The moves this summer will determine if that happens. I would argue that this is the most important season in Sabre history. If there is a repeat from last year, they will have to start from scratch, book it.
