The Canucks are a disaster in their own end, even worse than the Sabres. They also have zero prospects so of course they’re happy. Bloom was never gonna make it in the Sabres. We are too good now.

I too got two texts from Canucks fans thanking me. Again, I doubt he’s going to be a ft player. Maybe some insurance? Either way, it isn’t going to drastically change our team.

This trade isn’t really much of anything. But he’s a warm body on the back end. Bloom was he ever gonna play? Stillman probs won’t either. It’s certainly nothing to be upset about.

He’s been decent in Vancouver. Far less of a liability than Tyler Myers has been. Good depth trade. Probably better than Bryson.

It’s incredible how streaky VO is. It’s tough to take actually. They need to let him or JJ have a seat up top. UPL win total is so skewed. His numbers just don’t support the win column but his offense bails him out a lot. I’d say he’s number 3 right now. Cozens is a beauty. Love him!!! Vinnie that’s how ya do it. And Quinn too. We actually may be just stupid enough to make it in this year. 😯 Cannot lose to Columbus or it’s a complete waste of some huge wins. They’ll be ready for payback.

This why EPL for example is exciting, because you have a race for the top and a race at the bottom to stay in the league. Imagine if a team starts so poorly that within 10 games fans see that it’s over and they lose interest. 3 points for a win and a team goes 1-9 vs another team who goes 9-1 and they’re 24 back just like that. The NHL loves their “seemingly” close races for the playoffs.

Not surprised we weren’t ready today with all the time off but THIS type of performance is not acceptable.

The NHL will NEVER go to 3 for a win and 1 for a tie. They love the compact standings they have now. “Teams had a chance at playoffs right until the very end” is the spin. 3 point wins can separate the standings so much that fans will see the big point spread and they fear loss of interest. The NHL sucks.

Sabres need to kick the tires on Luke Schenn. He’d be a rental but he may solidify the back end enough to help down the stretch.

Oh great Hopefully this is more precautionary than bad. He clearly can’t go to the all star game if it is gonna make it worse. We need him healthy or it’s over.

I’m close. 4 hours by car in Kelowna. Get all the games. The Canucks management and owner are the issue. They hired BB before hiring Rutherford. They continue to do things backwards. The players loved Bruce. The owner is apparently one major dick to people as well. Trevor Linden left after he told ownership we need to blow it up and rebuild. They wouldn’t, he quit. He was right and they’ve wasted 5 years. On a side note my buddy texts me last night and says you need Horvat. I said love to have him. He says, “Cozens, Kulich and a first gets it done” I almost choked on my laughter.

As I said on another thread I think GMKA is afraid to make a trade due to upsetting the room. But now they bring back Comrie, who I’m sure is a good dude, and voila, chemistry different and now back to back losses. I wonder if it plays a part?

This feels like a must win or the start of a lengthy losing streak. We have not done well against Seattle, albeit a very small sample size, but they aren’t a good matchup for Buffalo. With Winnipeg next it gets tougher. Gotta win tonight.

It’s fun to talk trades but the reality is very few are made these days. Also I really believe GMKA is leery of upsetting the chemistry in the room so to speak. This team clearly likes one another and I’m wondering if this is playing a role in the lack of bolstering the lineup? Maybe he will but if he does I see it closer to the deadline to judge where we are at in terms of playoff positioning.
