I like 6K. Can't really explain why, just sounds better in my head I guess. You prefer UPL. I'm okay with that. Regardless of our personal preferences, we both know who the other is referring to. To each his own and all that.
-
I think his closest comp is Gustavsson. Before the season started I predicted 6K would have a similar breakout year that Gustavsson did when he went to Minny. I don't think 6K gets that much money though, I think if he doesn't go to arbitration KA will give him three years between 2.85-3.15M.

Holy *****. I'm legit surprised.

I love Mitts as much as you do, but I think he's either signed or moved for a D based on the number/term he wants. Sadly I agree with you on Tuch maybe being the odd man out. I think it's more likely than not Skinners last two years are bought out. I think Kulich and Rosen are on the team next year and Östlund and Savoie will be in Rochester. I think after next season is the earliest KA would trade one of the four, if he trades one at all.

No. I think these are our goalies for the next few years, with the expectation they develop into a competent Ullmark/Swayman type tandem. I think 6K gets there next year and Levi the year after. I also believe that by then Benson, JJ and Quinn will develop into first line level talents, and Kulich, Rosen, Savoie and Östlund develop into competent middle six forwards. That's seven kids with top six potential added to Tage, Tuch, Cozens, Mitts and Skinner. When KA hit the reset button and sold off Eichel, Reinhardt and Risto for futures I believe his timeline for competing was when those five first round picks from the 21 & 22 draft matured. When the analytics department was beefed up everyone gushed about how great it was. These are the draft picks they were involved in, if they are as good at thier job as everyone claimed when they were hired then we should have reason to be excited as the kids approach being NHL ready. I know I am!

Possibly Mitts if contract negotiations are not going well, I think he is at peak value right now.

Gamer? I started playing in Germany in 91, my wife made me quit after my last surgery in 2019.

This. Cook is more talented, but for this game, against this defense, in this weather, I trust fornette more.
-
Now that Fornette has been in the system for a few weeks I hope he get a significantly bigger workload over Cook against Pittsburgh. He's a better blocker against the blitz, he has better hands out of the backfield and he's better between the tackles.
-
Fair points, all of which I agree with. Would you agree that both our posts could be true and do not contradict each other?

Gabe is a very good blocker, I believe that is in large part why he's still on the team. It's not a skill most fans appreciate, or notice, from a WR, hence the constant shitting on him we see around here.

Bills finished the season 6th in the league in points for, 4th in points allowed, fourth in point differential, won another division title, are the two seed and on a five game win streak heading into the playoffs. Overall, a very good regular season.

Is anyone more miserable this morning than Tyler Dunne?
-
I think it's this. I think when Levi, Savoie, Kulich, Rosen, Östlund and Power are entering their prime is when KAs boss will evaluate whether KAs rebuild is a success based on standings/playoffs.

If the product is available to every player/team it doesn't provide a competitive advantage. That's how I see it anyway, but I'm less smarter than some.

I think with all the questions/conversations regarding the players quitting on Granato, thier efforts these games leading into the new year will show how they truly feel about him. I don't expect wins against the Leafs, Rangers and Bruins, but I expect effort, unless the want him fired. -
No, we most certainly do not!

What has to happen to turn the ship around this season?
Hank replied to GASabresIUFAN's topic in The Aud Club
On November 14th the Predators had won only six of their first 21 games. Since then they have the best record in the league, winning 13 of 16. They didn't make any changes to the roster or coaching staff. Saros found his game, the defense are clearing the crease and the bottom six are contributing. That's it. The Sabres have the talent to compete, and win, night in and night out. They just need to play like they give a damn. -

6K was coming off of what seemed to be a pretty severe illness in the Denver altitude, and the team as a whole played like *****. I think he plays a great game in the mullet, won't be surprised if he gets a shutout. -

You came to Sabrespace and sought out the game day thread to inform strangers on a message board that you have better things to do than watch a game you have no interest in? That's interesting. -
I still watch every minute of every game. More often than not it's while eating my waffle the next morning, but that's because I spend most evenings with the kids and grandkids. My interest in the team has not wavered at all. Since I retired I follow them more than I did pre-retirement when the kids were in the house because I have more free time and less obligations. I also don't get worked up like I did in my 20's. Family, career and a mortgage puts sports in perspective.
