What an event

Much of this is due to the NBA's sport basketball having far smaller cost of entry and the league actively peddling to the "modern" proclivities. The NBA has actively become everything that is wrong with this world. Constant action regardless if its needed; players run the league, overtly political, etc.

I’m curious as to why a number of people here have a vendetta against Mitts. It seems like anytime rosters are created some of you are always finding some reason why Mitts must be traded or will be traded. It’s the same issue on CapFriendly.

I’d say Price at times was closest to Hasek in regards to 1 goalie taking a mediocre team places as we’ve seen since Hasek. However he only ended up with a couple incredible seasons whereas Hasek put up about a decade

The Flyers quite literally gave one of the most unusual post UFA day press conferences I’ve ever read about. They quite literally said they needed a top end forward for their retool and that there was mutual interest in Johnny Hockey. But the cost to open cap was too difficult to create so they got a “One of a kind” Delauries and old man Braun and will see how it goes. What?!? Can anyone parse through his double-speak and figure out WTF Philly is up to? Got a serious kick out of the fact Fletcher made a boatload of trades sending out a myriad of picks in order to make room for Risto and DeAngelo but trading a 1st with JVR even with getting back a 2nd was to much to ask when getting a legitimate star.

He took all of his talent points and loaded them into Defensive Attributes. He likely won't even hit 10 pts this season but should be a very effective 3rd pairing Dman that helps the PK while bringing some seriously bone crushing hits.

I hope he's as good as Marty Biron; then Levi could be our next Miller
