  1. And lazy. Five point game, very nice. I love the way Patrick coaches, every time a player does something good, Patrick is there to tell him good job, or correct him when something is not done right. When this team has momentum and confidence, they are tough to beat, they need a coach to pump them up, not tear them down.
  2. If pigs had wings, they could fly, the problem is, in all likelihood, none of those things will ever happen. I give the Bills organization credit, at least it doesn't take them 15 years to cut ties with losers. That may sound harsh, but the last ten years, the duo of Regier and Ruff has been anything but successful. I know Regier's hands have been tied at times, but even under Pegula, the teams not moving forward. My biggest problem with Regier, is Lindy Ruff. I am so happy that hockey is back, but I almost dread seeing Ruff behind the Sabres bench another year.
  3. My condolences to you and your family.
  4. They say that he's 25 - 0 in fights, if they use him in games against physical teams, such as the Bruins, then I'm fine with the signing, if they're keep him in Rochester and try to "develop" him into a player, then it's a waste. He's a huge guy, he seems awkward and weak on his skates, but as long as he can grab on and punch, he'll be a welcomed addition (Goon).
  5. For me it's not that I wouldn't love to have Ryan on the team, but at what cost, I'm against giving away a talented player from a team that lacks scoring punch. Also I wouldn't bet on any player coming here from another system and being offensively successful in "Lindy's system."
  6. Thank you, I don't see what this big infatuation with Bobby Ryan is that people are willing to give up a promising young playmaker, who with out a doubt was our best forward on the ice the 2nd half of last season, plus a prospect, for a winger who's current team is willing to let go, even with 3 years left on his contract and has a history of contract problems and is also rumored to be a headache. The talking heads at WGR are so infatuated with the guy they have even mentioned adding Vanek. Ryan's not moving because the Ducks want too much and if they're willing to accept Ennis as part of a trade that should tell you what they think of Ennis. I'm not counting on Hodgeson being guaranteed to be a sure #2 Center and people are alraedy cementing Grigorenko to be the Sabres #1 Center for the next 10 years, let him play 40 games under Lindy Ruff and then see where he's at before crowning him, after that period of time under Lindy, the KHL might look real good to him. Other than Roy the only Center that has proven anything is Ennis, I'm not at all for shipping him out. I haven't seen enough Ducks games to know how well Ryan would fit here, but I've seen enough Sabres games to know that Ennis is a player that this team needs to keep.
  7. At first I wasn't that crazy about the V. Young signing, too me he's always seemed uncoachable, but after listening to his interview, he sounds like his head is in the right place. I have no interest in Young battling for the #1 job, this is Fitz's 3rd year working with "his receivers", they should be totally on the same page now. Fitz had a great start last season, but then came the injury, which we new nothing about till after the season. With new QB coach Dave Lee, hopefully Fitz's accuracy will improve. Lee has worked with Chad Pennington and Tony Romo, both of whom are/have been very accurate. I think this is going to be a very good season for Fitz and the receiving corp. GO BILLS
  8. You don't want to be paying your #4 CB $5 Million this season, $6 million next season. I liked Florence, but I have no problems with this move, we picked up 2 young CB's in the draft, 1 who will be a starter soon, along with last years 2nd round pick (34th overall) they need playing time. Florence had also become a magnet for yellow flags recently. Soon it will be Gilmore and Williams back there and I'm pretty optimistic about that and we still have McGee who, if he can stay healthy is a very good corner.
  9. I pretty much feel the same way, I'll take Young over Thigpen, but I don't have any hopes of him being the starter and resurrecting his career (not the it was ever great) here with the Bills. He has a strong arm and is mobile, but his accuracy is pretty poor and I just don't know if he is a fit for what the Bills try to run. One positive is that he does have over 30 career victories. All said I have to say, meh.
  10. We picked the 2nd and 3rd fastest CB's at the combine and the 5th fastest LB. This defense is going to be strong and fast.
  11. I like the Gilmore pick more each day, for some reason, I thought he was 5'10", I 'm glad he's over 6', today's receivers are getting bigger all the time. Glen, I like, but I think I would of rather of had Martin, who I think may be more NFL ready. You can't teach size and Glen is a big one. I have liked what I've seen from Hairston and Pears and it certainly seems like Nix loves Hairston, so I think we'll either see Glen moved to the right side or inside at guard at least for this season. At the very least it gives us some good depth. The line is huge, I haven't figured it out, but the average is probably around 320 lbs. Graham, I'm not sure, I seen where he was projected to go anywhere from the 3rd to the 5th round, the one thing is, he has killer speed and is super quick. I know that he's being thought of a deep threat, but I can't help thinking that they're going to try and use him in the role that they always wanted for Parrish. Easily my least favorite pick of the 3, but I'll give Nix the benefit of the doubt on this one and hope he pans out. This is probably the most excited I've been before the season in a while, but I felt the same way about the Sabres last off season and we all know how that turned out.
  12. Good post GODD. As far as I can see the kid has talent, he'll need to work on his technique in coverages, IMO. I'm not disappointed with the pick, the players I wanted were gone and Gilmore may have been the BPA on defense when the Bills came up. He is a little small, but he can hit and has good speed. I can see him contributing this season, probably as the 3rd or 4th corner, but in our Division, you need as many good CB's as you can get. Depending on who's left, I think that they should still look at defense at pick 41. Right now the defense is starting to look really good. I'm so pumped about this upcoming season. GO BILLS
  13. It seemed that Nix wanted defense, Gilmore might have been the BPA at that spot. I wanted Barron or Kuechly, but they were both gone, I didn't want Floyd. Gilmore is a little small, but has good leaping ability and is pretty fast, he'll contribute, at least in the nickle this year.
  14. I like this move, I listen to WGR a lot, and I like Murphy. Also sounds like it's the right time for Murph to leave Channel 4.
  15. Not you fault, I've been jumping around on 3 different things, even so there are many people (on this board alone) that say Poz sucks.
  16. Bad football players do not record 150 tackles in a season including 103 solo. The biggest knock on Poz was that people said that all his tackles were 7 yds. down field. In 2010 Football Outsiders had him ranked #2 in advanced stats for LB's and his yds. per tackle was 4 yds. compared to Ray Lewis 3.8 yds. and I could go on. I've argued this on Bills message boards numerous times, but people just don't care about facts. As far as pass coverage, the coaches should of never relied on him to be a cover LB.
  17. I can understand some Poz hate, but this will never happen. The negatives about Poz were so exaggerated it's ridiculous. There seems to be a snag that may void the trade (the Jets found out he sucks).
  18. Well he probably knows a lot more than you or I and I'm sure a lot more than 95% of the National media. Just to let you know Fox sports is now reporting that the Bills will sign Mark Anderson.
  19. Jay Glazer is reporting that the Broncos have traded Tim Tebow to the NY Jets for a 4th and a 6th round pick. Saints coach Sean Payton suspended for 1 year. Former Bill coach Gregg Williams suspended indefinitely. http://www.wwltv.com/sports/black-and-gold/Saints-bounty-penalties-143644476.html Mario Williams says it's looking good for the Bills to sign Mark Anderson. Thanks, I think your right.
  20. The Jets are said to have a serious interest in Tebow, I would love for this to happen, what an disaster this would bring. LaDainian Tomlinson has said that the Jets locker room is the most dysfunctional he's ever been around. With Santonio Holmes throwing Tebow under the bus every game, Fat Rex playing his games and then the NYC media ripping him apart. Tebow and the Jets would implode. The last place I would think that Tebow would have any success would be with the Jets, so bring it on, get him signed.
  21. I think Schobel may have been a little lighter. I think Anderson's strength may be his speed. Interesting that Schobel is being mentioned, there's been talks that he is considering returning to the NFL. he's been talking with a Bills player, I forget who it was that said that Schobel may be considering a return. I heard this on WGR about three days ago.
  22. DE Mark Anderson is in Buffalo and will stay till tomorrow for talks with the Bills, Anderson had 10 sacks for the Pats last year, plus 2 in the playoffs and really only started 1 game. Anderson tore it up in his rookie year with the Bears, but then fell off until last season with the Pats. He has great speed for a big guy and would be another threat for the Bills pass rush. From what I've heard he wants to stay with the Pats, but they don't want to pay him. This would be another big signing.
  23. I don't see them getting better than a 3rd rounder for him, but who know's what some GM might think of him and offer a 2nd. Miami is being talked about being interested in Tebow.
