  1. I think he should of retired also, he's got nothing to prove, but maybe he things he does and wants to show the Colts they were wrong in letting him go. I've never been the biggest Manning fan, but I would hate to see something happen to him.
  2. Chris Mortenson is reporting that the Broncos have reached a agreement with Payton Manning. I feel funny quoting my own post, but this is from 3/9 and I had the feeling then that Manning was going to end up with the Broncos, mainly because of John Elway. I'm glad he's going there, I like Elway a lot, plus we'll no longer have to hear about Tim Tebow every week.
  3. Thanks, I did listen to it and honestly that's the 1st time I've heard him say that. It would be nice if they do get it done, because I believe that Jackson has a lot of influence in the locker room and having him disgruntled wouldn't be good for the team. Still I would be very shocked if it's anything more than a 2-3 year contract.
  4. Thanks, I hope you guys are right, I'll have to go give it a listen. Believe me, It's not that I don't want Jackson on the team, but I can totally understand why there's no urgency to get him signed being he still has time left. I'l be happy when they do sign him, it's been great to see the team keeping talent instead of letting them just leave as in the past. Although I do not like when any player speaks out about being resigned when he has a year and a half left on his contract, Jackson rubbed me the wrong way last season with his "whining" about his contract status. Most important is Jackson's age, he's been fortunate to be sparred the beating that starting backs his age have taken, but these past 3 years he's been a full time back and 31 year old RB's have very rarely had success in the NFL, being the Bills premier back after the age 32-33 just won't happen.
  5. I've never got a memo or heard Nix say that they'll sign Jackson before camp, I listened to Nix the other day and he said nothing about signing him before camp (I would be interested in any link where Nix says that, so I know for sure), what he did say was that Jackson is under contract through the 2012 season. I don't interpret that as saying they will sign him before camp. As I said they'll give him a deal barring a collapse in performance, but it won't be for more than 2 years and if they do it would be a foolish move.
  6. I don't see them signing Jackson till near the end of next season, if he produces, Unfortunately Jackson's 31 years old and even though he hasn't been through the punishment of most 31 year old NFL RB's he still has a 31 year old body. I recently looked into older RB's and at the beginning of last season there were over twenty 30+ yr. old RB's in the NFL, Jackson was the only one to surpass 500 yds., yet he still failed to finish the season. The drop off a RB has after he hits 30 is enormous. I like Jackson and I hope he can produce, but it won't happen for more than another year or two at the most. If the Bills do resign him it will be a 2 year contract. As far as having serious holes if Jackson doesn't return, There's CJ Spiller who after he got started last season showed there was absolutely no drop off from Jackson. Spiller's stats are all comparable to Jackson's, while he doesn't have the experience or leadership that Jackson has (unless FJ is whining about his contract) he is 7 years younger. Give me Spiller over Jackson any day, fortunately the Bills won't have to make that decision for another year, unless Freddie holds out, if he does that he can take a walk.
  7. Unfortunately, at times I believe that is what Lindy's system is all about, score a goal or two and hang on, hope that your goalie stands on his head and hope for at least a point.
  8. Ennis has shown that he can perform with a number of different players, I would like to see him with Vanek and Pommers, but he may be better off with someone like Stafford and Foligno, I can't say it about Foligno yet, but I think Ennis has helped Stafford be more productive, where if you put Stafford back with Roy, you'll probably see the Stafford of a month ago. The biggest thing that bothers me is how Roy continues to get 3-4 minutes more of EVTOI than Ennis, no matter how good one is producing or the other is not producing points. I can't see why Roy always has to have the most even strength TOI.
  9. That's a big reason, but it's not the only reason, it's not like that was the only passing game we used, it also does nothing to explain the success of the running game. It's not the best O-Line in the league, but it doesn't need an overhaul either, there's some good talent on that line.
  10. The O-Line gets a bad rap, statistically they were #1 in the league, not only because they allowed the fewest sacks, but they had the 4th highest average per rush attempt and that was with only 2 of the starters playing all 16 games, whwere they were also flopped around to cover for injuries to our starting LT and C. Demetrius Bell does have problems staying healthy so a LT is a possibility in the 1st round, but that's all we really need other than some later round depth.
  11. I think that Buddy is going to go for a DB, a corner, if not he'll go O-Line, with a tackle.
  12. But this is a move unlike any that the Sabres have made, this move would almost be like the Sabres picking up a Shea Weber or Z. Chara, not a Brad Boyes.
  13. I agree with you, one thing is, I think the Bills may have the youngest of the 3. Maybe not (above), I forgot about Kelsay.
  14. Early reports are that it's a 6 year $100 Million contract with $50 Million guaranteed. Ralph Wilson is a cheap Bastard.
  15. Bills now have one of the best D-Lines in the NFL.
  16. Too bad Rochester doesn't have a NFL team. j/k I guess your right, only rich communities should be allowed to raise children. Forbes must of had some underlying reason to print such a lie. Also I can find the Forbes list, but I don't believe that your said list exist. http://www.forbes.com/2010/06/04/best-places-family-lifestyle-real-estate-cities-kids_slide_2.html http://www.wkbw.com/news/local/95851149.html
  17. My guess (hope) is that they're just ironing out the contract, so he'll be signed before he does leave. Forbes in 2010 had Buffalo in the top 10 places in the US to raise a family.
  18. Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't mind him being part of our receiving corp, but not at $7 Million a year.
  19. There's no way in the world would I give Manningham, the kind of money that the Bills gave Stevie, at best he's a #2 reciever who's inconsistent, that's trying to cash in on his Super Bowl catch. It's being reported that Mario Williams is scheduled to leave Buffalo tonight, I don't know if I'd read anything into this. Oops, didn't see the above post.
  20. I'm not that upset about this, there's a few good receivers out there. Losing Williams would upset me.
  21. Yes, the Bills were awarded Super Bowl XXV because the Giants lied about being a New York team. j/k No seriously the Bills are close to making two huge FA signings. Darcy wouldn't know Free Agency had started, he only gets the memo on the last day of FA.
  22. Mario and Buddy in Buffalo. Buddy flew down to North Carolina to meet and fly back with Williams.
  23. As of now the Bills have put out the highest offer to Williams. I'm just hoping that he isn't using Buffalo as a pawn to raise the price in a bidding war. I think that the fans perception of what players think about Buffalo is worse than whet the players actually think. I was shocked to find out that there are approximately 90 Bills alum that live in the area. Williams and Meachum are in Buffalo now.
  24. Thanks for clearing that up for me.
