Where's Staff and what did we get in return ?
-
You're right,stupid move.

After you acquire someone in a trade you then proceed to pay his contract till it expires. Hence my statement that Darcy thinks nothing of paying Boyes 4 million a year. I guess thats the point I was trying to make. He obviously knew how much Boyes was being paid when he made the trade no?

Noted. :P

These were my thoughts as well. There's an arms race particularly in the East this year but league wide in general where teams are getting bigger and tougher. Montreals doing it, Burke has talked about it, Buffalo has talked about getting bigger and tougher and have taken steps in that direction. If you don't keep up you get plowed under and Darcy is trying to keep our heads above water with enlarging the roster and adding guys that can stand up to intimidation and send some back. I applaud the direction he's taken and its about time. The Lucic incident was an embarrassment but its not the only reason for the change in philosophy. The rest of the league is doing it also.

Funny. Regier thinks nothing of giving Boyes 4 million.

I agree. The Kings were the perfect storm. They finished an 8th seed but I never considered that team an 8th seed and was convinced they should have finished higher so they are an anomaly imo.

Gillis comes across as a real car salesman in that article. Its the same way he talked about Hodgson until he traded him. Always pumpin tires that Gillis.

Hilarious. Everyone complains about the sissies that wear the blue and gold and when Regier signs a tough guy everyone complains about that. I would have preferred someone that can actually play hockey and fight but face it,this is the next best thing. He's simply a deterrent. I don't think anyone will be running Miller through the end zone with this monster sitting on the bench. I picture a cutout of the other teams goalie in the end boards just like in the coyote roadrunner cartoons.

Didn't they roll back salaries 28% or something last CBA? If they capitulate by agreeing to another 15% or so thats a big f'in loss over two contracts. Whats in it for them or what do the owners give up on their side ?
-
Agreed. Luckily for the coach its not imperative that everyone likes you. It'll be good to see him gone ( Boyes ). He never held up his end of the contract and was a bad signing.

My thoughts and prayers as well. My sons still fighting and doing well considering.

Gragnani - not re-signed by Vancouver, signed by 'Canes

So... does this essentially mean we won this trade ? or does this mean Kassian has to turn out that much better for the nucks in order to outshine both Cody and Sulzer ? Obviously Gragnani is a wash. -

Mags will sign in Edmonton where they need D-men badly and in 3 years will win the cup before our very own Buffalo Sabres. Did I just say that ? -
Not to mention the chain letter effect this can have if the 48 don't get help before they become adults. How many more kids will be affected in a secondary way because of what this pedophile did?

:worthy: I love to count.

Mothra No really. A classic.

The abominable Dr. Phibes Soylent Green Not sure if they are pre seventies but they sure gave me nightmares. I couldn't sleep on my back for years after seeing Vincent Price drop that goo onto that dudes face from the ceiling and have those insects eat his face off.

Digging back into my childhood and borrowed a schoolbook off my son. Thoroughly enjoying Treasure Island the second time through. That book put the adventure bug in me back in the day and its no different now. Good read.

Imo a bad idea to bring back a has been.
-
Bad idea to bring back the past and Hasek wouldn't play here regardless.

I agree the temple shot would have been the right choice.

The 22 caliber didn't work for him but its actually the perfect weapon for this and the weapon of choice for hitmen apparently because it enters the head but doesn't exit , it tumbles or ricochets through the brain. Anyways, I hope he maintains and continues to seek help for his depression. Life is a gift if you live in the present.

Well. Never heard about the suicide attempt. Did he put a bullet in his head? Mans lucky to be alive.
