  1. Just the type of player we need. Far to often we've seen the extra pass when what we needed was the killer instinct. I can't count the number of times while watching the Sabres when I hollered ' just shoot the damn puck ' at the t.v. in frustration.
  2. Agreed. These guys are fighting over money that won't be coming out of my pocket.
  3. And the Coyotes have Phoenix...Shite, that don't work.
  4. Come on P.A., distasteful ? We still don't know what the Gov. is really all about in respect to his character because they've revealed it in increments. This just adds another layer. He'll obviously not only stick the fork in but twist it to get what he wants. And really, what is it about threatening the farm girl by humiliating her that you can't see on those other shows that are on ? T.V. is currently full of gratuity no matter where you turn. This is a zombie series where killing and violence are the expected norm. Why not a little sex ? I still look forward to the next show every week on this one.
  5. Happy thanksgiving to all my American friends ! If you're travelling stay safe. Enjoy !
  6. Point taken. I misunderstood your post. And I hope you're wrong on your last point also.
  7. Orchestrated by Fehr ? There are 2 sides in this debacle and if you read the same media I have been you'd realize both sides can share the blame.
  8. Here we go. That follows fairly quickly on the heels of the first one. Shite !
  9. Now things are heating up. Merle has hostages from the group. Darrel is with Ricks group as is Michonne whom the Gov. thinks is dead based on Merles reporting. Carol is alive. This is getting really good.
  10. Congrats GSP . I still have my doubts he can beat Silva but he's the one they're starting to hype for the next one.
  11. I really enjoyed it. The wife, not so much but she doesn't like violence. She enjoyed the underlying romance and the humour. So there was something for everybody imo. The problem with hockey movies is they're all held up to slapshot. They should be judged on their own merits. I liked Mystery Alaska too.
  12. Makarov is having one hell of a week.
  13. Ask them if they want to play a game of mini sticks.
  14. And I agree. As far as I'm concerned the shortened season is a waste of time. Screw it. Blow the whole damn thing up and start over next season. The longer this goes for me the less I care to be honest. And I concur. ###### these prrricks.
  15. And every hockey loving fan should boycott the first couple games as a loud message to owners and players alike ...but we won't. Reminds me of the Who song ' won't get fooled again '. And we will.
  16. I have no complaints about the tradeoff of taxes for healthcare. Wait times can't be glossed over but for many procedures like mri's for knee injuries etc there is the option for those that can afford it to go the private route. I waited 5 months for a catscan on my shoulder. Not much of a hardship when you consider the alternative of having no healthcare. The system is far from perfect but it has saved us from financial ruin.
  17. Come on now thats not fehr. But you're spot on. My opinion of Gary hasn't changed much over the years. That makes me just one among many.
  18. If Buttman is past the point of give and take then it just isn't a negotiation is it. Maybe his words were taken out of context?
  19. I just don't see the extreme expense of Canadian healthcare. For my family of 3 I pay 128 dollars a month for medical services plan. My son had 44 rounds of chemotherapy this past year at 5000 dollars plus each session. Cost to me- 0. He had 6 weeks of daily radiation therapy with subsequent nightly hospital stay. Cost to me-0. He had app. 6 mri's plus p.e.t. scans and cat scans and countless procedures and operations for catheters, vad's etc. with a net cost to me of 0. The ferry costs and travel expenses to get on and off this island we live on as well as our stays at easter seal house were all paid for for the child and 1 parent so I paid the costs associated with my travel. Not much of a hardship. My wifes job benefits pay 80% for prescriptions so we pay the other 20% which wasn't too bad. Most medications were handled by the hospital so there really weren't many prescriptions. Had we lived anywhere but Canada with its socialized medicare I'm afraid we'd be homeless and our son would most likely be dead. That 128 dollars is hardly expensive. If we didn't have the coverage that the 128 covers no hospital in Canada would turn us away. It just wouldn't happen. He would still receive the same care he has already received. You don't die in Canada because you have the misfortune of being poor. Just sayin.
  20. In memory to all that have served and paid the ultimate sacrifice and thank you to those that currently serve with the military in any capacity at home or abroad. Your efforts are appreciated.
  21. I know what you mean. Small price for us to pay in giving our resources in the event that something big is going down.
  22. Maybe he just has the good sense to know he shouldn't be driving anymore. Too bad more seniors didn't take this initiative and get off the roads while they can still make the decision on their own. Good for him. I feel for you though. Its tough seeing our parents and grandparents age. In our youth the very people we saw as being able to handle anything.
  23. China already has their foot in the door. That being said I'd rather sell to China and lesson our reliance on the States for our exports. America can't afford our resources but to Pommerfans joy they have the guns.
