A total miscalculation on his part in regards to his evaluation of his players. He needed a perfect storm of positive outcomes to have a winning season and he got the opposite. I'm sure this was shocking to him which illustrates exactly how out of touch he is in the current N.H.L.

This has the makings of a sweep. Are the leafs/marlies that far ahead in drafting, developing, and recruiting talent than the Sabres/Amerks. Shite. I don't really know what to make of all this. Never listened to the press conference but from what I can tell by way of this thread it didn't go too well. The Buffalo press did the people of Buffalo a great disservice for not focussing on what was important. Who the hell cares about TPs vanishing act. I'm more interested in DRs slight of hand. I want to know if he's going to stretch this rebuild into 5 years or more to add to his longevity with this franchise. Lower expectations and no one expects anything from you. This is the most telling stat of all yet Pegula/Saywer/Black would have us all believe Regier is some kind of a genius when in actuality he is incompetent and should have been shitcanned years ago based on results. Now they've allowed Regier to lower the standards and expectations once again by creating the need for a total rebuild thus ensuring his survival for another day. When is this franchise going to put a fisherman on its jerseys ?
