I wouldn't qualify losing to the Hurricanes in the 06 conference finals as a sniff. You're not even playing for the cup at that point. Finals appearances are imo a sniff. Man that 99 run seems like such a long time ago.

The very reason I hate to see this team lose is the reason I voted tank. A number one pick would set us up for years to come on the compete index whereas a run to the playoffs and out or a run and just miss does absolutely nothing for this team in the long run. We'll continue to have so so seasons and be just average. Don't like it. Its time to start building the foundation for success. I should add that as a fan of this team nothing would make me happier this season than to shock the world and slide into the playoffs to win it all. That being said I just don't see it so if they were to tank I'm ok with that if the reward for being shite is a #1. Just so tired of being shite year in and year out.

When watching the post game interviews in the Sabres dressing room I noticed the Stanley cup embroidered around the sabres logo on Vaneks shirt. WTF ? Since when is the Stanley cup in any shape or form associated with the Buffalo Sabres ? Aside from being the team trophy in the league that the Sabres play in there's no reasonable explanation.

Ott is a huge topic of discussion in Vancouver on talk radio mostly because he's what they need and the Sabres appear desperate enough to do it. The fact that the Sabres are run by someone that appears to have no plan Probably helps. Apparently the Nucks were in talks with Dallas going back 2 seasons now.

I'm enjoying a Molson Exel. Although it lacks the buzz its surprisingly refreshing and quite satisfying.I bought it on a whim this afternoon at the grocers. I think I'll explore more of these non alc. brands for times I'm the DD or when I'm just not into drunking.
