The marlies have been better than the Americans for a very long time. Pre tank era for both teams the Marlies were better. The leafs/Marlies are a better run org. That much is obvious. But the tank can not be judged yet. This past season the Sabres were expected to challenge for a playoff spot. They took a step back. Now with Terrence P trying his best to burn it down again we may step waaaaaay back. Thats not on the tank. Thats on a clueless owner.

That being said I really wish Terry would stay out of the way. Do what 90% of the other owners do and hire a president of hockey operations to oversee the running of the team. Micromanaging will drive potential employees away. The disfunction it creates will drive away players and fans.

I agree with this. Without Jack on this team we are Colorado. This team needs Jack moving forward and imo the story that came out yesterday was a fabrication based on hearsay and innuendo. Reporter says source told him this and that. Who knows ? Does source exist ? Even if there is some truth that several players don't like Double Ds system that isn't unusual.

Or there was no source and there was no ultimatum. I side with Jack on this. Even if amongst some of the players they hate Double Ds system and coaching style. Thats not entirely unheard of. Neither is it unheard of for a reporter to stretch the truth a little to get what he needs.
