The only difference in Kassians game is he gets away with liberties in the playoffs whereas in the humdrum regular season they make those calls. Regular season the oil would be killing penalties every time Kassian took a shift playing like that.

Completely agree With you. Same for me. And for other players they need more coddling. Some need to be barked at and some need more of a stroking. Thats the problem with DD. He apparently doesn't know how to or want to forge relationships with his players. Every player is different and they should all be coached or mentored in a way that gets the best out of them. Not sure DD is capable of that from GMTMs presser. If not the quicker he's kicked to the curb the better. This is about developing and nurturing your players more than anything. Making them better people and better players. Good coaches do that.

I like the way Murray handled the press. I thought he was a straight shooter like he mostly has been and like that he was willing to take his share of the blame. Like how he handled the Kulikov questions and said he would shoulder the blame for how that trade turned out and for how Kulikovs season went. Wouldn't lay any of the blame at the feet of the player.

I'm not sure. We have this Raccoon that comes around our property. Cute as a button but the thing with raccoons is they always shite in the same spot. Every stinkin time so it slowly piles up on top of the shite that came before it. This season feels oddly like that. In that respect its hard to judge whether this is the worst season we've suffered through because I'm simply unable or unwilling to peel back the previous shite that I've been subjected to.

Its a beautiful spring day out here on the west coast of Canada and there's no way I can justify staying in the house to watch the craptastic product that is the Buffalo Sabres. In a selfish way I wish the simple decision not to watch hurt the franchise in the pocketbook but unfortunately as a fan thats hard to accomplish when you live a continent away from Buffalo. So here we are on the last meaningless game of a meaningless season and there's no possible way to get up for this game. I see no way in finding joy in the little details or the positive signs from the youngsters. Frankly there's more joy in the errors or costly decisions by the veterans that may have played their way out of town. That I can get behind. Perhaps there'll be more boneheaded moves by an embattled coach ? One can hope. Anyways if you decide to take it in hopefully you find something thats joyful within the experience. I'm out.

Agreed. This team has to make the playoffs next year. Starting the year with DD has the potential to put us behind the 8 ball and having to play catch up all year just to potentially sneak in. We have to put up some points early.

Watching the way that young Toronto team plays is frustrating. In relation to ours. They deserve to go to the dance. We don't. GMTM needs to do some soul searching and do whats best for this team going forward. The way our team plays sucks the life right out of anyone that considers themselves a fan. From my perspective.
