Dylan Cozens - Conquerer of Men, Mountains, Rivers and Hockey
phil_soisson replied to inkman's topic in The Aud Club
I'd love to see Cozens centering Savoie and Benson,...high energy. -

Matthew Savoie highlights, with guest star Zach Benson

I can envision Cozens centering between Benson and Savoie. Adds size, but preserves complimentary speed, skill, and grit. -

These guys are fun to watch! Thanks LGR4GM for posting! -
Achilles recovery is tough. Hope it's not like the NFL, where full recovery seems to be two seasons.

Not to be disputatious, but when have any of the players you list won NHL playoff hockey?

This seems like a "scared front office" move; overly cautious and uncertain of how to proceed, so go with the familiar. They are fully cognizant of the weight of the last 12 years of utility. It's a factor in their moves, but shouldn't be. Underwhelming.

Ed Kilgore's Vault: Fun Times With Pat Hannigan

No, Sam McCarthy's was on the corner of O'Connell and Kentucky Street. Sam was Gene's older brother. -
Ed Kilgore's Vault: Fun Times With Pat Hannigan

I loved Hannigan. He had great stories. For his day job, he worked for a beer distributor. Saw him more than once at Sammy McCarthy's saloon down in the Old First Ward. -
If they stumble out of the gate next year (e.g. 8 game losing streak) Granato needs to be fired, at a minimum. I reserve judgment on Adams, pending what kind of moves he makes in the off season. Without naming names (everyone has their [least] favorites), I hope for a minimum of 5-6 different personnel on opening night next year, and not just for the sake of change, but rather tangible upgrades. No more excuses!

Rasmus Asplund traded to Nashville for a 2025 7th Round Pick

Maybe so, but at least the Avalanche have won three Cups, including last season's. -
Rasmus Asplund traded to Nashville for a 2025 7th Round Pick
phil_soisson replied to Brawndo's topic in The Aud Club
Wow, a former 2nd Round Pick, 33rd overall, traded for a 7th rounder. That's Buffalo -
"I want moves but I’m also on the conservative side. I’m disinterested in giant risk-laden trades". I think GMTM left many with that feeling. We may have reached the polar opposite now. The actual price the Sens paid for Chychrun seemed considerably below the prognosticated price, and one the Sabres by all accounts could have met, or exceeded. We're not talking about breaking the bank to go off script.

Not doing himself any favors.

I honestly think Adams is afraid to make a deal. Seems like Regier; valuing what he already has too high.
