We need to trade Miller now. With our dreadful defense, he will have a 4 goals against average and everyone will think he is done. We need to trade Myers now for a bag of pucks. The more he plays the worse he looks.

Myers needs to be traded now. Hopefully there is some GM out there who would be willing to part with something of value for a soft overpaid Myers. Maybe they will fall in love with his size. The more he plays the more his trade value falls.

That won't happen due to the huge disparity in contracts going to the oilers. We would have to take on a salary dump and also pay half of Millers contract

Unfortunately I think that Myers, Stafford,and Leino have negative value. They are unmovable. Grigorenko belongs in the AHL but is too young. Darcy and Rolston aren't going anywhere. Vanek and Miller won't get moved till the trade deadline and they may not be able to move Miller at all.

This team is tough to watch. Could Vanek, Miller, Myers, Stafford, Grigorenko etc. get moved in the near future. I need something to look forward to. I'm worried we will turn into Edmonton with less talent for the next 4 years. Any chance of a coaching or GM change? I'm desperate for something hopeful.

They have been hanging out with Russ Brandon too much. Compared to Buddy Nix, Darcy is an outstanding GM.

I know Darcy doesn't have the balls to trade Myers, but a new GM might. I would like to keep Pominville and Vanek long term and resign Hodgson and Ennis as well as add more elite talent. Someone has to go in a trade for both value and contract reasons to get a decent return. No one is giving us an elite player for Stafford or Leino.

The Chara card is irrellevant. The only thing he has in common with Chara is height. I think Ennis is a more physical player. I would not move Myers for picks, only for blue chip prospects or legitmite stars.

I do not feel he will ever develop into an elite defensemen. He lacks toughness, leadership and shies away from contact. I think his value will fall as more GM realize his failed potential.

Does Anyone think Darcy will make a substantial move at the deadline? or are we looking at just moving Leopold for a 3rd round pick if he is healthy?

Why are these guys still here? Whaley and Darcy just got extensions for complete mediocrity I don't understand why. Which organization is worse the Bills or Sabres? The GM is more important than the coach and neither team will start winning until they get competent GMs on board.

We need to bring in Rick Dudley. I think he is more willing than Darcy to make the big moves and shake things up.. He would make some big trades and bring in a new coach. I would like to keep Darcy in charge of scouting and the draft where I feel he excels.

What about Stafford and a first round pick? Would Colorado take that deal?

I don't think regehr is back. He is old and will want a significant contract. He could be moved at trade deadline.

I think that Colorado would take Stafford, Sekera and Girgensons as a package for O'Reilly. I don't know if Darcy would do it. I would do that trade.

How about Stafford, Leopold and Girgensons? I would do that, but it likely is not enough.

I have lost faith in Myers. I feel he is very soft and lacks leadership and toughness. He also has a huge contract. I'm not sure I would trade him for Kessel.

This is exactly the point. In a new CBA, teams will likely not be able to dump salary into the minors and thus circumvent the cap. The owners want to make the cap much more rigid than it is today.

While I would love to acquire Doan, I am very worried about the cap implications of this absurd contract post lockout. Their is already speculation that the sabres will be in cap hell without the Doan contract. When the players selected Don Fehr, that meant work stoppage. I think we will miss half the season.
