The rhetoric I’m hearing on Cozens sounds very similar to the Mittlestadt propaganda that came out after he was drafted. Let’s give Cozens time to develop in Rochester and not count on him to be a 2 C next year. Mitts may never be an NHL player.

If he’s saving up cap space to sign UFA next year, he’s a bigger idiot than I even thought possible. Free agency is fool’s gold there are few Tavares but many Leinos and why would any quality UFA want to come to a team with an utterly incompetent GM?

Who said I was blaming Botterils incompetence on one overpaid contract? It’s a series of poor moves that set the franchise back years. Skinners stats last year were inflated by playing with Jack much like Okposos were inflated by playing with Tavares. Skinners a better player but he’s a defensive liability and that contract will look just as bad as Okposos in a few years

Its Botterils fault plain and simple. The Sabres will continue to suck until he is replaced by an astute GM.

Overpaid and too long a term with a significant concussion history Botteril should be fired for this contract alone. We’ll be lucky if Skinner gets 20 goals this year

If this is true, Botteril is more utterly incompetent than I previously thought. He wasted 3 years of CM entry level contract and has at best an AHL player to show for it.

I think a recruiting company needs to be hired immediately to find a new experienced GM ASAP. CM needs to be traded ASAP before his value falls below Alex Nylander level. Unfortunately I don’t trust Botteril to make any moves.

I’m hoping the Sabres clean house in the off-season and all the garbage on the roster is expelled. That includes the GM. Why did we trade for Miller with his contract if he’s going to sit in the press box?

Don’t say there’s been no progress. ROR has progressed into a Conn Smythe winner. Evander Kane has progressed to a top 6 power forward that scores 30 goals a year. Lehner has progressed into a very good goalie.

Botteril has done a terrible job with the goaltending. Hutton sucks. He needs to be fired. We can’t wait for UPL to possibly be god in 3 years.

I think the problem is more a useless GM. His coaching hires have been poor and his personnel moves atrocious. He has assembled a soft wimpy team. Botteril is completely incompetent and must be fired now. Until that happens, there is no hope for the future.
