It’s not fair to call someone a bust, when he’s only played for the worst team in the league, but… Dahlin, at least so far, is a bust. His possesion game is poor, his defensive play is poor, his offensive game is forgettable. I think he simply hasn’t been able to adjust to the smaller ice surface. Less space, less time.

His defensive play, as many offensive minded blueliners before him, is lacking. To put it mildly. I’d be willing to live with that if he was showing something on offense, but that too is lacking. Not sure we can blame him though, I sure wouldn’t want to come through the system in this organisation. Buffalo is where careers go to die.

And Dahlin was still too far away from him. I’m not saying he should mug the guy, but giving an advancing forward that much space, is just a poor defensive play.

Your’re right. His lack of gap control on Raymond in OT was the stuff of legends.

The smiling on the bench while losing goes back to before the Pegulas. I have no love lost for the current ownership, but fair needs to be fair - I definitely remember Derek Roy, Jason Pominville, Drew Stafford etc. having WAY too much fun losing, during the last years of OSP’s reign.

Aaron Dell is very bad, that much is obvious. Dustin Tokarski is shaky at best. Craig Anderson is injured. It’s bad.

No arguments with any of this, just pointing that we’ve had zero goaltending, and still the team hasn’t folded.

Goaltending has been awful the past three games, that really overexposes some of this teams shortcomings. At least we’re scoring goals.

I’ll take sucktitude goaltending all season over Kim and Terry meddling again. Every hockey decision they make, turns into a disaster.
