i think it was facicious, i was commenting on the player who wanted #34 not Eichel. This is a Bills thread I don't think its too much to ask a rookie entering the league to atleast brush up on the history of the team. It's the same as researching a company you are interviewing for i would think?

Last saturday the lead in to the NBC game was ruff-ruff, tweet tweet and the floogals in my area. Pretty sad.

Foligno got molested by Komacerak on thet play. Left his feet and clobbered him to the ice then laid on his face with his stick hand till they scored. Damn. First Foligno just embarrassed him and took the puck to the net though.

You have a valid point it seems. If you're willing to pay there should be a way. Can't imagine NBC would leave money on the table.

I think you and I are saying the same thing. Advertisers pay for viewership numbers which are culled from all services legally showing hockey. The advertisers are paying to reach that amount of people with their adds be it commercials, on boards or throughout telecasts and arenas sport wide but all of those viewers paid in one way or another to view the game, either by having tickets or cable/dish or another approved NHL service. Illegal or pirated streams do not count in the viewership numbers(i'm not behooving anyone from watching any way they want or can and it doesnt matter to me either way) NBC holds exclusive NHL rights through the 2020-21 season. At the end of the day somebody has to pay to watch the games be it live or on television. If not the league could not survive and nobody would get to watch hockey. I pay and I watch as much hockey as I want to every day and i'm ok with that honestly.

well it was supposwd to be verses and have more exclusive nhl content but that venture failed

Nobody wanted hockey. NBC is the only network to offer a TV deal when they were shopping their wares after the lockout. ESPN tried to lowball them and when they were turned down ESPN basically buried the NHL refusing to promote and showing only sparse highlights.
