The assumption was Seth Appert was next in line. That's why he was brought up from Rochester after he got the Amerks to the AHL final four two years ago. But since he's been part of this debacle for 1½ seasons would going to Appert be enough of a change to jump start this moribund team? If Lindy were to be relieved of his duties mid-season, and you go with an interim for the rest of the year, who else could you promote other than Leone or Appert?

If there is a visual representation of full on panic on ice, it was the Sabres last night. Even when they were winning, they played like they were on the verge of collapse. Ellis saved them most of the night.

He's looks better than UPL though he can overplay the puck at times. He was keeping the Sabres in it until they finally reverted back to chasing the Mammoth around the ice. This team has gotten away from the defensive game they started the season with. Now four of them chase the guy with the puck, leaving players wide open for one timers. That's pretty much how we lost. That and we couldn't connect on a breakout pass to save our life.

If these guys are so talented why do they play like s**t now? Coaching?

The tandem of Lyon and Ellis are probably a decent goalie pair. Unfortunately no one in front of them is playing with any confidence or flow. I saw a report from a non-reliable site saying Montreal and Vancouver have called about Tage. I'd move him. He's not helping at all

They are fighting the puck, ruining their own scoring chances, playing like they have no idea what their teammates are doing. And now they are chasing the Mammoth.
