  1. Really Babdick was the target. Bylsma was the rebound.
  2. So Tocchet is probably coach?
  3. Pierre LeBrun‏Verified account @PierreVLeBrun 8m8 minutes ago More Interesting: have heard from teams who are contemplating using Vegas' unique free-agent window prior to June 21 in this fashion (con't)... Team X could offer Vegas an asset in exchange for signing a pending UFA from another team during that unique window (con't).... Then Vegas would flip that signed player to Team X. But key is that Vegas must wait until after expansion draft to flip the signed player That's because any signed free agent during the unique window counts as one of Vegas' roster picks for expansion draft... Might be worth the asset for Vegas if it counts as an expansion draft pick from a team that doesn't have much to select from to begin with And FYI, league source says all of this is permissible. Just another potential expansion draft week wrinkle....

  5. Ugh. Fluery waving at the puck as it blows by him. It's a beatdown. Did the cigarette-smoking man shake Fluery's hand pregame?
  6. I'm not going to blame Fluery for that goal. That is an incredibly tough save to make. If a shooter hits that keyhole, he earned the goal. That said, goal #2 was dreadful by Fluery.
  7. My point is you can have all the layers you want. At some point the non-hockey Pegulas have to hire someone. You want them to get a hockey guy who knows what he's doing but they, who don't have enough hockey knowledge, hire that person. It's a conundrum.
  8. If you clean house, you have to hire that person with the hockey background. They don't materialize out of thin air.
  9. Well that's exactly the fan logic of cooties. If you are part of a losing organization, even if you had nothing to do with the losing, it's still your fault.
  10. How about GM-Bot? As a robot myself, I approve.
  11. It's curious how people hate Doug Whaley for the bad trades he made and ignore his good moves. GMTM is just the opposite. If you keep a ledger Murray made more bad moves than good.
  12. Seriously? You don't think Murray didn't get screwed on trades? One could argue he lost every trade he made.
  13. You forgot to mention the Illuminati's role in all this.
  14. Stadium capacity is closer to 70K, so the per seat avg is closer to $43. And no, that's not low. During the years of the Toronto series, Bills season ticket prices were as low as $27/game. You are correct that the number does not take into account concessions and parking revenues, but trust me, added all up you are still no where near $9MM.
  15. Ever notice our best moments came when we wore "ugly" unis?
  16. Buffalo sports fans are proof that "The Answer" works. We belive everything will turn to s##t and it does.
  17. Or he can dog it, claim his foot hurts, shut it down, get released and sign with the Patriots.
  18. I'm curious. As a team GM, when are you expected to "yes" for TerryPegula, other than "are we winning yet?"
  19. I think it's time for King Henrik to retire.
  20. Big May for me. 5/4 The Damned. 5/11 Midnight Oil. 5/16 Jean Michel Jarre.
  21. I have a really hard time signing a goalie who is as helpless in shootouts as Lehner. It's amazing he reached the NHL with such a deficiency.
  22. In time that entire Cobblestone block will become bars and restaurants. A place close by where all those IIHF and Frozen Four fans can spend money.
  23. You'll never convince the bean counters the Toronto series was a bad move. Rogers paid $9MM/game. A sold-out Ralph Wilson Stadium is a little over $3MM/game gross.
  24. YouTube TV is currently available to residents of the following areas: Chicago Los Angeles New York City Philadelphia San Francisco Bay Area I'm Boston area so I'm SOL for now.
