Bernie isnt the first nor the only, though I agree it needs to happen, there are a lot of Dems who agree, environmental Dems have been left for some time, more so then Bernie, on Defense they've gotten more right, health care Dems have been looking for things they can pass, taxes are a balance and a progressive restructuring of the tax code, alleviating burden on disappearing mid class needs to happen. Corporations, unlike what Bernie says are not evil, they're amoral. Profit rules the day and getting them to do beneficial things thru incentives as well as neg consequences are the trick and tricky given politics. Bernie is a Bomb thrower, backbencher, but not a coalition builder needed for leg to move forward. Clinton may surprise you.., but she wont be an idealogue. She understands you cant totally alienate everyone and still get things done. Bernie imo would. On guns there are lots of different opinions in the Dem party and no conscensus other than more effective faster background checks.

There is a large concern over police using lethal force indiscrimantely, even within poorer white communities. Doesn't make as much news. There are just enough knuckle headed power tripping cops that give all the good ones a bad name. The problem is that they aren't weeded out effectively. So while BLM a racial in nature.., you see a large number of whites supporting it b/c they are feeling similarly about the bad cops and there is a growing distrust of them.
