  1. I thought it was pork bellies?
  2. And there in lies the problem.... no capable 2Cs are available right now.
  3. Though this is too early, I wanted to starting think about what the Sabres options might be for drafting another top flight center next year because it appears you can never have enough. Here are some articles already out there: https://dobberprospects.com/2020-nhl-draft-rankings-november-2018/ https://www.eliteprospects.com/draft-center/2020 https://www.draftgeek.ca/nhl-draft-2020/ https://thepuckauthority.com/the-historic-talent-of-the-2020-nhl-entry-draft/ http://insider.espn.com/nhl/insider/story/_/id/27059799/20-2020-way-too-early-nhl-draft-rankings https://www.dudedaily.ca/top-2020-nhl-draft-prospects/
  4. Short of a trade that I am skeptical is even out there.. agreed.
  5. If there is a trade maybe but short of that you are probably right. Plan or no finding a 2C a team is willing to let go of is gonna be difficult to find.
  6. Not sure he has that much game left.
  7. Ive watched more than a dozen games of his and to me what concerns me about Vesey is he seems to be an on and off again guy. He hustles but occasionally looks like TT last year turning the puck over. Other times he is on his game and is a force in the corners and going to the net... a bit inconsistent.
  8. It use to be good... now its a bunch of tall no defense playing whiny wimps. Yes they are very good at what they do, but who cares when you have two guys who play on your team and rest stand around and watch... meh
  9. Again if you put him with Sam... you have two very good passers and line drivers and then add a scorer. Mojo is good in the corners and shifty on the rush. Sam has gotten a lot better in the corners and a hard nose guy like Vesey may fit them well, but Vesey may very well end up initially with his buddy Jack.
  10. Betting regardless of this argument, he plays center here and from what I saw in the playoffs MoJo drives the play.. I think a line with him, Sam and either Vesey or Ollie can work well.
  11. I do think MoJo plays center his first year here til Cozens is ready, betting Bogo goes to LTIR. Forward group especially on wing gets interesting but finally Sabres are starting to have options with some kids pushing for spots.
  12. And if Bogo is on LTIR there is your cap space to sign the arbiters. My guess is MoJo plays center this year. Vesey moves to Jacks wing but Ollie plays it on power-play and Mitts is 3rd center this year. I am thinking 2nd line of Sam, Mojo and and Ollie. The wings could be moving parts though to see who meshes the best. Jack and Skins are tied together but the rest?? I like a fourth line of KO, Girgs and Larsson. Agreed there are a few too many bodies. Boat is sent down unless there is an injury and if he leaves I like Smith's and Asplund's games enough for call ups. My question is if TT with added weight and strength or a motivated (big if) Nyls pushes someone like Sheary or Erod out. Sheary would be my first to send down. On D I still think Borgen pushes for a spot. Dahlin-Montour, Risto-McCabe, Miller-Borgen I like and after that I dont care who gets sent down or traded... that looks solid. If Risto and hopefully Scandella are moved Id be more inclined to take picks unless a 2C highly doubtful becomes available. Hunwick will either be sent down and I am not sure about Nelson.. he is a good utility D to have.
  13. Easy there big guy... down boy mind out of gutter...
  14. At first I thought you might be a little sarcastic with the post... but the more I think that if you are serious, it could help some of us lay people. Most of Flagg's stat stuff I understand and to an extent Pi's, just dont know how Pi gets to where he does and what regression curves he is using... and mind you I am way out of practice with stuff too.
  15. TT has moments, and his effort in the A, his skating ability which I think he just hasnt put it all together and based on his weight gain I look forward to seeing him this year.
  16. I also think TT gets there ad an outside chance that Nylander does though guessing hes 30-70. TT has shown me the work effort
  17. I missed the morning working on my rental property in Mass... nice surprise upon getting back on the road. I think many will be surprised by Johanssen especially when healthy. He works hard, skates well, great passer... I am excited!
  18. If you have to ask... you havent followed them. Murray trading away picks for Lehner... Sam and whole draft had no centers... Jack ok, Nolander debacle.. Mitts with a coke and a smile, OReilly sulk and trade... Cozens thumb... sigh guess its time to start 2020 draft thread.
  19. ?? Does that work?
  20. https://buffaloah.com/h/twain/twain.html Found in steamer trunk in home of former Buffalonian in LA, interesting that is where it was reported. But I know it was discovered in Buffalo and I misremembered he lived in Twains house in Buffalo on Delaware (ST) Ave. Was moving to Cali where he must have reported it found. Love the inaccuracy though.
  21. Yeh but does another team want to do that until close to trade deadline.
  22. There is a wife of a guy I know who collects surplus med supplies. Ill ask and send her you link. PM with any additional contact info I can share.
  23. I can ask my Dad... he taught Mark Twain's writings at UB for 30+ years. One of his good friends found the second half of Tom Sawyer in his attic in a chest in a house off Delaware Ave downtown upon selling the place and moving out. He called my Dad in to see if it was real. I remember going with him to see it... didn't really realize the significance, just thought I was cheap labor to help in the move. Then later read articles on it... Yes Twain used to live down in those parts.
