I thought most of the penalties were deserved as opposed to the Steelers SB where there were about 10 mysterious holding calls keeping the Seahawks at bay.

I really do everything I can to avoid all things wrastling as I feel like it’s the single dumbest form of entertainment ever created but here we are.

They have been pretty clear about putting your stick on another player. They are calling it. What we have all come to accept as “a good hockey play” is now being called slashing, hooking and holding. I’d much rather have it this way. It makes for a cleaner game and more entertaining product.

They play the same teams Funny. I don’t recall teams playing against the Sabres having issues with back to back games.

Tonight kicks off the Amerks season. A few familiar faces with Jacob Bryson leading the way. Tons of new players and prospects with Jack Quinn leading the way who unfortunately won’t play tonight due to quarantine. Dalton Smith, JS Dea are returning to lead the veteran group. Exciting prospects Pekar, Samuelsson, Laaksonon, UPL, Quinn, lead the charge from the youth. Tons of college free agents were signed to fill out the roster. The athletic has a write up behind their pay wall. If you subscribe, you can get the deets there. I suspect this season will be more about development than anything else with these ad hoc lineups and call ups due to COVID. The kids we play be most interested in will be Bryson, Quinn and UPL. Having a couple pests like Dalton Smith and Matej Pekar should make most games watchable.

I hadn’t realized the tenuous nature of the collective fanbase until I made this thread. I only made it because SweetLou had the ridiculous notion that drafting Sam over Leon was the biggest blunder by the Sabres in the last seven years. Turns out he was wrong but I’m not sure The result is uh...healthy.
