I acknowledged that, most directly, after making my point. To wit, we don’t need more of it around here. That is, in the NHL, in competition, or when playing or choosing teams to sign with. I’ll suffer it in the littler leagues. Boyz II Men, and all.

Oh, so right on. I am never a fan of those who strut, gloat, preen or show the vanquished disrespect. Shoes find so many other feet. We need less of that around everywhere. Now, I was a college freshman long ago. I won’t judge. Pots and kettles stuff. I will hope he outgrows it.

Yes, another five.

Anyone still holding out hope for the playoffs this year?

Anything’s possible and has been done before. It can happen. However, if I’m evaluating the roster, I believe the earliest we can be a playoff contender is 2019/2020. Even that would require good moves going forward. We needed Reinhart and Nylander, two NHL caliber players to be sure, to be a step above where I see their current ceilings. In short, they needed to be impact players. I’m not seeing that. Further, we needed some two among Fasching, Bailey, Baptiste, Cornell, etc., to be Reinhart level players. We missed a few while tanking. We did it while saddling ourselves with a few contracts that, while seemingly benign at the time, have tied our hands in the present. Recognizing that I may expose myself to criticism from the many learned, I see Jack as a great player, but a cut below the other greats that entered the league in the same draft period. He’s great, but he’ll not lift a team by himself. Something about hating to lose, but not refusing to lose. He’s young. There’s hope. Hope is not a strategy. Lastly, goaltending is a problem at the NHL and developmental pipeline levels. In the meantime, I’ll trust the organizational process and look for improvement and exciting, competitive, hockey to arrive. -
Has kind of an ... ECHL ... feel.

“These guys?” Say it ain’t so!

Impression, before conclusion. It’s early. It’s a joy to watch an organization balance “today” and “tomorrow.” Move by move ...

Is Tyrod turning into a good QB in his third season as a starter?

I’m making an appearance, in front of Liger, in order to man up during a whoopin’. Saw most of a Herschel special on television, today. What an athlete and, now, content man. Wait, huh? You mean ...

OJ to Niners for a 1st, two 2nds, a 3rd and a 4th. Niners assume $733 thousand contract.

Trust the process .... I approve this dump of a dump.

https://fivethirtyeight.com/features/nhl-coaches-are-pulling-goalies-earlier-than-ever/ I googled. Oh, and for our True PhD and fledgling PhD! http://people.stat.sfu.ca/~tim/papers/goalie.pdf And, my favorite easy read. http://thesportsquotient.com/nhl/2015/10/15/when-why-and-how-of-pulling-the-goalie

Points > Goals Against. I would’ve. There are probably some wild analytics around time, deficit and probability. My gut in this game? Analytics would say pull with a snowball in hell’s chance that slightly exceeds the chance associated with not pulling.

Oh, boy .. in this context! Geico, the bastards, raised my rates after I’d injured six”!
-
Sounds weird after a goal against was scored, but Kane came back hard.

If he pays rent for City Hall and owns its event rights, yes.

Of course you don’t give him credit. Your outrages are turning into a goulash with this one. We have wealth, class, ownership, private property, reverence for service and, two favorites, MARKETING and PR!

Two thumbs up. However, I recenty LEFT Geico after approximately 12 years with them. Rates crept up in the later years. I received an offer from another company that was nearly 1/3 less. I called Geico and said I’d stay if they even came close. LOL, they let me walk. I had an agent say that was part of the strategy .. that is, raise rates slightly year after year and enjoy premium pricing until a client discovers it ... and then, let ‘em walk. I have no idea if that’s true. I do know it’s top notch service. I’ve insured six ... teenagers, included! You’ll be happy. Get quotes from competitors every few years.

It’s nearing dinner time, and I’ve neither been offended nor victimized by anyone today. Further, I’ve not discovered an ulterior motive in anyone’s enterprises. Being a simpleton, I infrequently recognize clues providing insight into nefarious character. Dear God, thank You for my limited capacity. To those exploiting me, just keep it a secret, please. In the meantime, what a gracious gesture by the Pricks. Best wishes to those who choose to attend for whatever reason they find worthy of the effort.

To weigh in, as Mr D responded to my post, i think Liger’s approach is closer to the one I envision. Trading today for tomorrow, hoping all the tomorrow’s hit at once, isn’t sustainable. I thought more around Liger’s approach when writing. Keep vets, today, improving player by player, season by season, always replacing a piece with a more appropriate one. Keep a framework in place while younger players develop. Create an identity. It’s slow, and we’ve waited so long. That’s the cost of quick fixes, as intoxicating as they are.

Lol, great first down what would’ve been a HUGE “what are they thinking” had it failed!

Dareus has SOME push ... ugh.

Two turnovers. Two bad decisions (throw to #25 with open field in the red zone and last play of the half) and no points. I have to think the toss to McCoy was TT telling himself “I’m a quarterback.” I have to think the last play of the half was .... well, I have no idea. Dennison, TT, Beuller?
-
You can’t make that bad decision up.

Can I say "our tank" and not "any tank ever"? I'm not spending much time in my head thinking if the tank. Regardless of how we got here, I'm thinking of what I'd do now. It matters little to me if Sam plays RW or C, tonight. It matters little to me if Sam's here next year. It matters to me that TP, JB and PH are building an organization into which talent arrives and thrives. I want an identity for the franchise. A "this is how we do it" approach. I'll get to the particular team and it's merit when I know what the team is.
