  1. Lindy and, wasn't some other coach in the very recent past guilty of this?
  2. It's definitely not semantics.
  3. All I saying is that it's wrong to attribute the idea to the Sabres and call them on something they didn't officially promise. That they should have promised, and fulfilled, a roster surgery is a different matter. It's obvious that the idea of roster surgery was, and is, necessary. Unfortunately, it was smart of them not to make that promise because it would have just added to the PR nightmare that the organization keeps reinvigorating.
  4. We weren't promised roster surgery by the Sabres, so, there's that.
  5. Thinking about this game, the Sabres will either get owned early and often, or a Sabre or two will hurt themselves while trying not to lose. I came to this conclusion while asking myself why I might want to tune in.
  6. His friends aren't on Twitter, that's fer shure.
  7. Yes, but Toronto was smart: they had THE in-demand new NHL coach standing by. Not too hard to make this move, actually.
  8. You think Keefe is going to drag those guys out of the mud?
  9. Or the next PR director. I would love to see all Sabres communications in the third person.
  10. Wonder what Mrs. Babcock thinks of Toronto shopping now.
  11. Now we get to see what Sheldon Keefe can do.
  12. At least we can dispense with the "this will be the real test of where this team is at" stuff more than 24 hours before the game.
  13. While not arguing against your point, but only adding to it: because the flying monkeys have backed themselves into a corner, they can not sit McCabe, Risto or Scandella because those are the ones they are likely shopping. Even those monkeys know sitting a guy they have up for sale would be a bad look.
  14. He needs to make it happen if he wants to retain respect from the fans over the course of the season, IMHO. Doing this would indicate he actually has a pulse and something resembling a spine.
  15. If y'all had listened last year, we could have traded him for a much higher return. That is, if we were collectively running the team. Which we aren't, so, okay.
  16. The Pegulas will never hire you. You're like the Tim Leary of hockey culture.
  17. Every time I hear him speak, I think "moron". Sorry, but I really do. He doesn't have a speech impediment, he simply doesn't have organized thoughts. I think he's out of his depth because he simply can't process all of the information necessary to accomplish his goals. He's in a constant state of information overload. I'm in the Botterill Bunker.
