  1. Wow, that's a bad cut above McCabe's eye. No one knows what happened?
  2. Nope. Duff is more annoying than these guys.
  3. That's the most affable interview I think I've ever seen Linus give.
  4. Brian Duff = the most annoying broadcaster in hockey?
  5. So, I missed the first. What happened to McCabe?
  6. Nice to see Linus play a good game and get the goose egg. Good bounce-back game, too.
  7. Bad penalty to take, but I don't see how it's avoidable.
  8. Concussion protocol for Sheary.
  9. Are there cheaper options than Borgen or are we thinking this was an intentional - as opposed to being stuck in a corner - move?
  10. I think it was Vesey who didn't return. Maybe they're going with 7 D? Or Dahlin is in the press box? I wouldn't mind them trying 7 D, though. Shorter shifts, option for Borgen to go out and lay the heavy. Dahlin out there when they need extra offense. That's the kind of freaky coaching strategies I would love to see attempted - and succeed.
  11. Vesey. Which is weird to call up a D, but...
  12. I couldn't believe my eyes. They seem, I say seem, to have cut down on those, because the no-look passes were killing them last year and they turnover possession that way more often than not. But, there we go, Eichel passes right to their guy right in the middle of the ice. Dahlin's flopping around is almost insignificant compared to that play.
  13. Alrighty, get another one before the end of the period and make it a game!
  14. So, just in from band practice. What the hell is going on?
  15. ...cue the complaints about fancy stats. In 3...2...1...
  16. I hope RK has put the team's collective mind right. They better not walk in there thinking this game is already in the bag. If NY is so bad, they should walk all over them for a full 60, nothing less. If, for nothing else, they need to put the brakes on the xGF% trending below average.
  17. Do not apologize at all. Given your screen name, I've been waiting to read your take on these films - bonus was the Tolkien film/book comparison. On that, I've seen the making-of stuff where they go to lengths to give the very argument you give. I don't really agree with much of it, but I do respect the position. I think with LOTR, perhaps if the music and the schmaltz were dialed back by, mmm, almost a lot, the rest of it might have been forgivable. But they really try too hard to squeeze out the emotions which, added to the mutilation of the original story, makes the series almost painful to watch.
  18. Eh, I guess we'll see what happens with him. The season is still young.
  19. There have been several mentions lately of sport science in relation to Krueger. Actually, they've all been Krueger. It's nice to see a coach who respects and works with that back-end aspect of a team. I'm still waiting for mentions of the analytics crew. Positioning Krueger's administration as open and communicative certainly creates a contrasting image of coaches who usually aren't that way. I find that amazing because you can't "lead" effectively without it. Good article, overall.
  20. Getting pucks to the front of the net and possessing the puck. Such a simple formula.
  21. My man, @DarthEbriate. I won't quote your stuff to save us space and time, but LOTR was a colossal mucking of the books. I read the books, again, earlier this year and then watch the extended edition Blue Rays. They're just awful compared to the books. Adding elements yet removing others. Why? And the Hobbit movies? Yikes, except they redeem themselves slightly by adding the stuff in Dol Guldur, and I thought, of all things, Smaug was done correctly. Anyway, so, I just watched this latest trailer. I don't get the problem with it. It might look "not good" because they're trying not to give anything away. Indeed, between this and the last trailer, I almost have the impression that C3PO might have more to do with Palpatine's return than not. I'm actually intrigued by the so-called ghost fleet and also would love it if Rey and Ren were brother and sister. Of course, there's this, which is 3 and half years old, so, not a new "spoiler" or fan theory: https://www.huffpost.com/entry/this-bizarre-star-wars-theory-palpatine-_b_9617828?guccounter=1&guce_referrer=aHR0cHM6Ly93d3cuZ29vZ2xlLmNvbS8&guce_referrer_sig=AQAAACu_O2C87PIrulAB-fUaNZxg6fC8dJ_kvowESLM0cP25qb-xQsP93zvRsWiv6mH9AMKppjI7Upsr-zPuJt6f4sqE219eWDWH1rRqOL7YMCc3uwRsajk-yiyBBZ8ag84oaJN2dNiQUizx6xGxtLqReXiP5hywNGoWxBaa6lzgfgBY
