  1. What?
  2. He had one decent year in 17-18, but even those metrics aren't anything to justify the non-touchable status he gets here on SS. See below. What more do you need to see?
  3. Montour is over rated by this board.
  4. I would have preferred to have kept Evander. He was the ROR of this board, though...lots of people wanted him off the team because his shenanigans could spoil Eichel. However, all signs had pointed toward Evander not re-signing here.
  5. And...? Are you saying Montour is a valuable addition, because, no.
  6. This is so unbelievably stupid. If the concern is trying to create and/or maintain a rep for being fair to the players, they took a step back with this move. Botterill has no idea what he's doing. He's trying to play checkers with the spare pieces that they include in case you lose one. The guy is an idiot. We have an idiot GM with his idiotically created roster and a coach hired by his idiot reasoning.
  7. Ullmark - that's how you do it.
  8. Sabres can't buy luck right now. Yeesh.
  9. Montour, how about buying in and diving in the net to stop the shot?
  10. RK needs to address that BS with some sort of finality. Jeepers.
  11. Even Rob Ray says "shoot". SHOOT!
  12. I finally found the picture of the sign I saw outside the arena back in November 2013.
  13. I feel like I'm sitting half way up the 300s watching this game.
  14. Dang, sorry I missed it. Maybe I should ignore the second, too?
  15. Correct, in fact obvious to the point where I'm disappointed it took multiple posts to draw out.
  16. I thought one of the recent 31 thoughts went into detail on the whole Byfuglien thing. He's claiming he had a hockey injury from last year (as stated above) even though he signed off on it. He signed off on it because they all thought it would heal over the summer. Now the team doesn't think it's a hockey injury (implying he hurt himself over the summer), while Byfuglien does.
  17. Lindy and, wasn't some other coach in the very recent past guilty of this?
  18. It's definitely not semantics.
  19. All I saying is that it's wrong to attribute the idea to the Sabres and call them on something they didn't officially promise. That they should have promised, and fulfilled, a roster surgery is a different matter. It's obvious that the idea of roster surgery was, and is, necessary. Unfortunately, it was smart of them not to make that promise because it would have just added to the PR nightmare that the organization keeps reinvigorating.
  20. We weren't promised roster surgery by the Sabres, so, there's that.
  21. Thinking about this game, the Sabres will either get owned early and often, or a Sabre or two will hurt themselves while trying not to lose. I came to this conclusion while asking myself why I might want to tune in.
  22. His friends aren't on Twitter, that's fer shure.
  23. Yes, but Toronto was smart: they had THE in-demand new NHL coach standing by. Not too hard to make this move, actually.
  24. You think Keefe is going to drag those guys out of the mud?
