  1. This thread is the funny. I can't believe it exists, yet here it is.
  2. Bogo blows. I was thinking bad thoughts about ERod until he made that brilliant pass to Gus. Dahlin has looked good since having his bell rung. I honestly think Samson is depressed.
  3. Scandella had a good period. I agree with @dudacek that it was a good road period the team before Eichel gave up his man. I also agree with Dunleavy that Skinner has been plagued by some poor passes. He needs to have a good pass for his style to really work.
  4. I wonder what happened there...almost looked like he got speared.
  5. Some people at work saw it, didn't spoil it, but said it was pretty good. So, it seems critics don't necessarily like it, but the public does.
  6. Weird that didn't come up in my NHL search before I posted that. I had heard during the streak from a talking head that it was starts.
  7. Jack can take as many games off as he wants and pick up the streak the game he comes back, it's games he's played, not Sabres games in a row.
  8. No, it's trying to figure out why you're there and what you can do to fix it. It might be more effective to do that in the moment since talking about it in the classroom obviously has done nothing.
  9. I guarantee you RK is more about playing through moments like this than giving up and trying to make moments like this seem less bad.
  10. Curious if he's really hurt or if this is some thing by RK to see where the team is at without Jack.
  11. NO SPOILERS. please. I'm seeing this on Christmas day and would like to be surprised. +++++++++++++++++++ Must defend the goal! Must put puck in net! Repeat! Repeat!
  12. This man has it. Guaraldi wove amazing Christmas-time textures on that piano (and organ). I'm partial to all of the stuff out of the '40s and '50s. A lot of it is masterful music creation that has no peers, and evokes Yule Time feelings equal to Norman Rockwell's conjuring of an idyllic American past.
  13. That would be an olde fashioned brewers' brewer like used to be all over the place before the globalists took over. IOW, a region-limited brewer. I wouldn't mind trying one of the craft Genesee beers if I A) went out and B) could find one on tap.
  14. Mmm, they were getting behind us all night. I don't mind taking that gamble, but the context of the game simply must be factored in. The Loafs were getting a jump on our D all night, and had beat us up for 40 out of 55 minutes up until that point. Our team is still tenuous and when the other team has dominated most of the game, you don't give them a path back in. There was, what, about a minute left in the PP when Linus was pulled? That PP was just getting started, and we would have had over 2 minutes after that. A tie under "normal" circumstances with this Sabres' roster, at this moment in time, was completely within the realm of possibility so long as no one screws up and everyone does their job as best as possible. That's defined this third phase of the season so far. RK is the one who screwed up and took an unwise gamble.
  15. How about when the opposition has shown a proclivity to beat our D for the prior 55 minutes? Is that factored in?
  16. Well, cue the Reinhart defenders, but the dude has not been playing where he needs to be. He's about effective on the first line as Mitts was effective on the second. Also not too sure about pulling the goalie during the PP at the end there. There's probably numbers that support the move, but it seems more like football thinking than hockey thinking.
  17. Anyone read this, yet? Good stuff. https://www.diebytheblade.com/2019/12/17/21023283/buffalo-sabres-johan-larsson-quiet-dominance
  18. When @Randall Flaggmakes a point, it goes something like this:
  19. If Angry Larry is moved from that line, then RK can't deploy him in a way that best serves the team. There are three other lines that should be able to score goals.
  20. Did Luke need precise calculations to successfully hit the thermal port with proton torpedoes? No, he did not.
  21. It's because escalating something means it rises, and to indicate something is rising you would typically point an index finger vertically in the air, which, of course, is anathema to a select group of people.
  22. They played it on the screens at the stadium during the Ravens game, I think. I remember catching it during the broadcast and getting a chuckle.
  23. A lot less of an emotional attachment by Terry led to a lot less meddling and a lot more focus?
