  1. How do you spell off the schneid? QUINN, that’s how!
  2. Yeah, it was kinda of a tongue in cheek remark.
  3. I believe that puts Tage ahead of last season’s pace. Is that correct?
  4. “Right now” definitely. Would he make our top 6 if not for the current injuries to the D corp? I honestly don’t know how good he is.
  5. Nope. I’m simply asking how many teams have NHL quality depth in their 7 thru 9 defensemen.
  6. They seem to be looking at specific types of RBs and since McCaffery is gone and Kamara won’t happen, I’m not sure there are any of that specific type around at the moment.
  7. How many teams have quality D depth that goes nine Dmen deep?
  8. Let’s just root for everybody to play better. How’s that?
  9. While I agree with him, Harrington is the last person to be advising other people to chill.
  10. Look at the 5x5 analytics cited in the OP. I want Mitts and VO to play better. Cozens has nothing to do with it. Dragging him into the discussion about Mitts and VO and their poor 5x5 play is a specious argument imo. He’s a superior 5x5 player and the analytics bear that out in striking terms. Let me know when that’s not the case. I’ll be waiting as well.
  11. That’s one. Yay, Mitts!
  12. Wake me when Mitts and VO bring the 200 foot, 5x5 game on a consistent basis like Cozens does night in and night out. For every occasional gaffe by Cozens, we can cite multiple poor plays by Mitts and VO. But again, there was no need to drag Cozens into this particular discussion. He’s a superior 5x5 player on a game by game basis, while Mitts and VO leave a bit to be desired which is what the OP in the thread pointed out.
  13. No need to bring Cozens into the conversation. Mitts and VO combined do not bring what Cozens does on a night in, night out basis.
  14. Marty made a great point on (I believe) Chicago’s second goal and that was that when our D man went out to cover the man with the puck, it was Thomspon’s responsibility to drop down and take the guy in front of the net, but Tage went to cover the guy in the slot instead. I appreciated the point Biron made because it helps explain it’s not always on the D man leaving guys uncovered in front of the net.
  15. I’m not sure any GM can fix losing half his top six D so readily. What team has that kind of NHL quality depth? Need our guys to get healthy and stay healthy.
  16. Edibles.
  17. I’d say being forced to play with your 7th, 8th, and 9th defensemen for any stretch is unsustainable. By “any stretch” I mean one period or longer.
