    Why would we want Gagner ? No way you can have Hodgdon and Gagner as two of your top 3 centers on a championship team. Murray won't bring in anyone who doesn't have top 6 potential, fits with Hodgson and Girgs or can be flipped.

    I post that Miller might be moved before the Olympics now Garrioch and some Rabbi are taking stabs in the dark. I might have to start my own blog.

    Actually I never thought of Korab as tough. Maybe the greatest puncher but I always thought he could have been great if he was tougher to play against. Punch wanted to make him a forward but he never developed the d-man to take his place.

    You are not getting Eberle for that crap . A back up goalie, a. 6th or 7th defenseman, a journeyman winger and a couple of picks that have less then a. 10% chance of making it.

    Its minimal given the expected escalating cap and assuming that he will be happy with the trade which, since he has to approve it you would assume.

    I would agree. Ehrhoff is one of the more underrated assets on this team. He is still highly thought of and his contract would be a tremendous selling point now that the upfront money has been paid.

    Don't remember the exact time frame but he is the second leading scorer in the NHL over the last month or two

    He also might be scouting for the Sabres since he is still being paid by them. I was thinking along these lines also till about two days ago. I believe that the Sabres really wanted to sign Miller to a new deal and were prepared to offer him King Henrik money but have come to the conclusion that that won't happen. Further, I believe they have decided that it will look worse if they traded him if he comes home a USA hero and therefore will trade him in the next two weeks, perhaps as early as next week.

    You don't have to worry about that. Black said it again today. Worst case scenario is letting any expiring contract walk for nothing.

    Interesting that Kassian is considered physical yet him and Stafford have the same number of hits in the same number of games.

    Take it for what it's worth but DR was reportedly asking for two 1st, a 2nd and a prospect with a top 6 ceiling. Some less then reputable sources have reported that as TM's starting point.

    And that is the biggest problem with the Internet. People mis interpret, mis understand or just plain fabricate what they read or hear and then repeat it as fact so often that other people start believing it as well.

    He did not say that! He said that if you were in the right position you could manipulate the standings by dumping at the deadline but never said they were tanking next year.

    I agree with you except a few problems for them. 1) O'Reilly is a RFA who has shown a willingness to sign an offer sheet 2) They will have to qualify him at $6.5 million 3) They do not want to pay him more then Duchene 4) While capable their owner does not want to spend to the cap 5) They desperately need top end defensemen

    I don't know, about 5 or 6 out of 7 days I wish my wife lived on the west coast. Seriously, I am not sure the present arrangement doesn't work for him. He might like being alone during the season and with their income I'm sure they can see each other almost as much as they want

    I knew a lot of exec's and writers from the world of hockey lived in and around Western New York but I had no idea that guys like Brian Burke, David Poille and the rest of those that sing Miller's praises also lived in WNY.

    Don't know if this was covered anywhere else but do any other teams besides Anaheim and Buffalo have anyone else' first pick for either this year or next?

    The Browns do indeed have 5 pro bowl players but that is not the most. At least the 49ers and Chiefs have more but I don't feel like looking it up.

    I think Gastineau beat him by a lot. At least Bruce really was that good.

    A few teams have 3 or 4 assistant GM's.
