  1. So, we had our annual ticket draft and things didn't go quite like I expected. The Vegas game was more of a priority for some then I had imagined. As of now, I have 10 seats for the game and am working on acquiring another 6 via trade. Seven(7) people have pre-paid leaving me with 3 in hand at present. I have decided to save one for Wildcard as he has been a driving force behind this, leaving me with 2 extra tickets at present. I will reserve those for the first two that are able to pay for them and will not accept any other funds until I can confirm that I will have more to move. I know that a couple of people that paid for tickets may be willing to sell their seats but I would rather not con volute things at this time. I am pretty sure I will be able to acquire other seats near are sections come September when tickets are actually e mailed but I obviously can't guarantee that. This year was complicated by the fact that there wasn't a 41st home game that I could pre-buy, but this is all on me and I apologize for the inconvenience and uncertainty of it all.
  2. One more reminder, 10% discount ends tomorrow. Thank you to everyone for making this process relatively painless.
  3. And New England, Denver and Kansas City. There is no one way to build an organization. What is clear is that the old family owned teams with a GM and a Head Coach running things is gone. These are multi billion dollar corporations run by men that made their fortunes running their companies a certain way. In the end, it all comes down to finding the right combination of front office executives, front of the house people and getting lucky a few times when acquiring talent. History has shown that all these so called "geniuses" rarely experience success elsewhere simply because there is no magic formula. As Bill Parcells has said on numerous occasions, the common denominator among the successful organizations is being able to admit your mistakes quickly rather then stubbornly holding on till its too late.
  4. Losing your franchise QB to season ending neck surgery isn't exactly a planned tank. However, they consciously chose not to add a QB after it happened. Im with eleven also in contending they are still not proof that tanking works. You put a lot of stock in anecdotal stories. The NFL is full of stories of how KC picked Steve Fuller over Joe Montana. As for Carr and Jimmy G, it's also full of stories about guys like Rob Johnson. Grades still incomplete
  5. Reading about Butcher just shows how many clueless writers get respect in 2017. First, he doesn't become a free agent till tomorrow. Second, I actually saw an interview where he said immediate playing time is not expected and he prefers to ho to a team where his long range development is more important.
  6. No way he's signing on a weekend, any weekend. Word will leak on a Monday and a press conference follows on Tuesday
  7. Putting a bow on my feelings going into the Bills season. I based my feeling of even the slightest bit of optimism on two things, that the 10th highest scoring offense in 2016 would continue to develop under the veteran tutelage of Rick Dennison and that the defense would improve under McDermott and Frazier. These trades have, in my opinion, done nothing to change this and we now have at least 6 draft choices in the first three rounds next year to look forward to. On top of that, despite Jeff's misgivings, the Bills' front office and coaching changes have garnered almost universal praise from well respected NFL insiders. I am in a real good place with respect to the Bills right now, recognizing that nothing is guaranteed and I've been here before.
  8. He may indeed be the guy. The odds are against it. Point is no one knows yet. No one knows if Dak was a one year wonder. Is Derek Carr really the engine that runs the Raiders or is he a function of the rest of his cast.Franchise QB's are hard to come by. If it was guaranteed that two or three of the 6 QB's everyone is talking about for next year were going to be franchise QB's you'd have a better chance of convincing me that tanking was the answer. Right now I'm sticking with my belief that it's 90% luck. The arguably greatest QB of all time (TB) was a 6th round pick. Maybe the best QB now(AR) lasted till almost the end of round one. Pittsburgh may have drafted their current SB winner for no other reason then to prevent Tom Donahue from getting him. Seattle used a 3rd pick on their SB winner only after throwing millions at Green Bay's back up. By the way coaching is the same. Philadelphia got ridiculed for hiring GB's QB coach with no coorfinator experience. GB likewise with McCarthy, Pittsburgh hired a defensive back's coach...,,
  9. And when JP Lossman threw a Dar on a down in out in his first preseason game, Dan Reeves was impressed. Pre-season football is of no value at all, other than making billionaire owners wealthier.
  10. You can draft 7 QB's per year for three years in a row and not get it right. The people that keep saying they should find a franchise QB drive me crazy. You liked 2 QB's in 14 years, can list only 3 QB's the Bills passed on in that period, 1 of whom has played 1 season and yet think that because the Bills don't have one means they are not trying. Gutting your roster only means you get to spend three years rebuilding it and hoping you get lucky with a QB. Adding picks obviously increases your chances that you will find better players but it doesn't statistically significantly increase the chances that one of them will be a franchise QB. Oh my God, you are smart enough not to read anything into the preseason. Frank Reich looked like the worst QB ever to suit up in preseason.
  11. Yep, you bringing anyone? Yes Don't think so
  12. Just a reminder, next Friday(8/18) is the deadline to purchase your ticket for $90. Two of you have taken advantage of that offer so far.
  13. There is absolutely no evidence of this.
  14. Yes, for those asking, last year's paypal method is preferred. If anyone needs to have it resent, please pm me.
  15. We have 16 tickets. Of course I may have to do some maneuvering to get all 16 but think I can. I also know a couple other people who have seats in nearby sections so I can account for some overflow. One member has already taken advantage of the early payment discount. At some point I may have to require a deposit just to put an actual confirming number together. I know some of you may be a little hesitant to give money to a stranger but I think a few people on here will vouch for me and assure you that you will either get a ticket you want or your money back. Finally, if someone wants tickets to a particular other game, I have a few other tickets I will be selling as well.
  16. OK, we are up to 13 plus potentially biodork and ubkev. Confirmed; Hank Wyldnwoody44 Touched LTS MODO for 2 Sabills North Buffalo Taro d4rksabre WildCard Derrico Eleven Tickets will again be $100 if paid after August 18th. I will sell at cost ($90) if paid before August 18th.
  17. Sorry, I didn't confirm anyone. I'll send a list tonight.
  18. To date, I have received only 7 personal messages confirming interest. My ticket draft is in three weeks so I need to know by then exactly how many tickets I need to get.
  19. The Cap is closer to correct then not and the Canadian dollar might bottom out this year but will most likely rise by mid 2018. I took heat for this before but I still see a $85/$90M by 2019/2020.
  20. You sure about that? I thought it was a player's decision if they wanted the 1 or 2 year deal.
  21. I pm'd you some info
  22. I know Klein, mostly from Nashville days but it is amazing how detached one can sometimes become. I consider myself pretty informed and a huge hockey fan but I still have zero recollection of Davis Payne coaching the Blues. Had none when Housley hired him, still have no memory despite combing the internet.
