I do the same but get complaints about how I never surprise her. Usually it's a trip to the spa but can't this year since my wife is due with our 2nd soon. Likely going to be something simple. Still unsure what but have been busy with too many household issues to even think about it.

Apparently I missed the memo about taking vacation today. Pretty much my entire department is on vacation and I'm blasting my music. Also, it's amazing how productive you can be when you don't have people bugging the ###### out of you all day. Probably got 3 days worth of work done.

Being in customer support I deal with 3 types of clients (I had a run-in with all 3 today): Indifferent: I don't care what you give me but I'm going to hate it when you give it to me. Determinant: I need to you give me exactly what I ask for and then I will hate it. Reluctant: You gave me exactly what I asked for!!! ....what was I thinking? Can you do this a different way that is pointless?

Best he was able to do was make sure Miller had the "WTF Wave" down :P. Not sure to tell you the truth. I never thought he did anything special but there are others that deserve more criticism.

I feel bad for the person that wrote that and the person that made that public. I'd assume the person that wrote that still has a high paying job. Without a name on the paper though that can be left up to speculation on whether it was a scholarship athlete, only what the teacher said.

This is the major issue IMO. It doesn't matter if they get a free ride if their major is underwater basket weaving. One of my colleagues was one of the athletes that got a free ride playing football and didn't go the easy route. He went into I.T. while traveling and playing ball. He knew full well that even though he had a chance at an NFL career that it wasn't a guarantee. He was never drafted/signed but worked out for a few teams. He knew what was in his best interest. I do agree that the NCAA does take advantage of them but it really does work both ways.
