Tried Chantix. I was a pack a day smoker at my peek. Chantix was absolutely horrible for me. It did stop the high you get from smoking but not the craving of it being a habit. After the sleepwalking and horrific nightmares and my Dr told me to stop taking it. A friend suggested vaping, I smoked and vaped (24 mg mind you) for about a month and since then I'm off cigs and just vap. Working my way down to just 8mg nicotine. I consider it a success for myself and I can breathe again. No coughing, no hacking, I taste food, etc. And I haven't had a drink in 9 months. Yay me. Let he who has no vices cast the first stone...

Guess I'm a tool then.

All the crap for Channel 2 in my facebook feed. I enjoy quick snippets of news here and there but the barrage of crap coming out of that feed is really annoying. Plus, you can't see the whole baited story unless you watch a 15 second commercial for Roswell or something. This one today: "The wrapper of your fast food is linked to cancer." Like, the food itself has nothing to do with it? If you can raise an animal, kill it, process it, freeze it, ship it across the country, pay someone to cook it, add ketchup and a bun, pay someone to hand it to you, and only charge a dollar - there's a good chance it's not good for your body.

This is the sentiment I've heard from the majority of the posters that have PM'd me. There are 5 posters here that like to interject politics into a hockey board, unfortunately they like to be most vocal about it. We, the mods, have discussed at length, approval of a political thread, it's pros and cons, etc. I can say that in all my years as SabreSpace mod I have never been so insulted personally via PM by a few posters. Even given that, I've advocated for bringing a politics thread back even though I'm not sure that tossing the car keys to the kids makes them learn how to drive within the speed limit. There are plenty of outlets to express your political opinions outside of a hockey board, most un-moderated if you need to just put your opinion on a screen somewhere for someone to see. Like d4rk said, typing it here or there won't get "it" done (whatever it is for you), get out there and do it.
