Why would we want a 29 year old center with 4 years left on his deal? If we want to make the playoffs this year, we need ballsy.

The problem here is that I don't think Anaheim does either of these if they're rebuilding.

My proposal to Anaheim, if they're looking for cap space this summer, and for Buffalo if their goal is to simply make a playoff run: Bogo, Risto, Hutton and a 1st for Getzlaf and Miller. The trade is essentially Risto and a 1st for 115+ games of Getzlaf centering Skinner and Johansson. Anaheim gets Risto who has term, and Bogo is cap space for them this summer. Miller and Hutton are UFA goalie swaps just to get us a slightly better backup.

I'd certainly like Kase but I think if I'm Anaheim and I'm looking at a rebuild, Kase is a contract I'd rather have than not have.

I agree that I'm not sure that forward exists, but I'm looking at the standings and wondering what Anaheim would want for Getzlaf. He's got a year left on a ~$8mil or so contract, so if that team might be rebuilding he ends up being a rental next year anyway. They are well and truly out of the playoffs this year so they might be willing to take some of our pending UFA cap dumps to give them cap space this summer instead of next summer. This assumes Getzlaf would waive his NMC to come to Buffalo to play with Skinner and Johansson on his wings, but... edit: I'd probably ask them if they wanted to swap Hutton for Miller while we're at it...

I have as well, but I'm open to having my mind changed. It would take the addition of one top 6 forward to give them a fighting chance at a heroic run to 9th (assuming Olofsson comes back in the next month or so).

I was using ~94 points but either way. They're not out of it yet, but they're standing on the precipice. If Botterill doesn't do anything to help them get to the playoffs then we'll be able to comfortably conclude that he didn't care for the team to make the playoffs this year, which is really too bad for both the players and the fans.

The Sabres need to get about 65% of the possible points over the remaining games this season to make the playoffs. They went 5-5-0 over their last 10, which would not be good enough. Starting tonight, they need to go something like 5-2-3 over the next 10. Is adding Skinner enough to get them some loser points? I don't know. But they're close enough that Botterill needs to buy and he needs to do it soon, or else this season could be over before the trade deadline even gets here. I don't expect anything to happen though. The time to make moves was months ago.

Bogo isn't valuable. His 18 games this year are the worst of his career, and he's really never been that good. His hips might feel better, but his legs are gone. And that's with reduced ice time. There's not much anyone can do about that.

Yup, and it's distinctly possible that the Robi mistake jersey wasn't even the Sabres doing. It would be weird for the Alumni Association to screw it up since they've made so many jerseys for him already at this point, but it looks like one of theirs. Who knows.... The Hawerchuk/Andreychuk jerseys are unforgivable though. Along with the misplaced shoulder patches... And don't forget that the 90s night Goathead jerseys were cheapo knockoffs that had the wrong collars and didn't have the important B-sword shoulder patches...

They might be from the same event, but it looks like the team supplied jerseys to players that didn't have one and left other guys to wear whatever they had laying around, be it original game worns, alumni association versions, etc. It would make sense that the one with the shoulder patches in the wrong spot would also have the name spelled wrong, since that would make it one of the ones the team provided. The Robi one looks like an Alumni Association version though, which makes it even stranger...

Some of them might have been Alumni team jerseys. I believe that the Alumni Association and team operate independently of the Sabres and have traditionally taken care of sourcing their own jerseys for their members to wear for events, alumni games, etc. I recall those jerseys being accurate and of high quality.

I remember the Robi jersey from a while back. I'm pretty sure we even discussed it on here.

I ended up with a 50" after debating whether I needed a 55", and ultimately the 50" is plenty big. The displays in the store really distort things. I don't know who out there is buying 65"+ but holy crap those are big TVs. The lack of motion blur in movies is really noticable. Predator was on earlier and I couldn't believe how good it looked. I just assumed older movies all looked a little ***** because reasons ?

So I finally bit the bullet and bought a 4k tv this weekend. Let me tell you, I thought RDR2 was pretty in 1080p. But with HDR it's almost too good. Watching movies is wild and I'm going to have to adjust. 2160p feels like too many p. Tremors shouldn't look *this* good lol
