I've got Carolina winning the Cup

33 here too, so we probably have a lot of the same memories. I hadn't experienced the original jerseys long enough to be upset when they went to the Goathead, so it wasn't a THING for me at 9 years old. My formative memories as a Sabres fan involve the Goathead. As I got older I certainly longed for the return to blue and gold, but I never hated the Goathead like I would end up hating the Slug. The Slug was an abomination and a harbinger of the mediocre things to come. The Goathead was never any of those things to me.

Two of the Sabres best teams in recent history wore the Goathead. It's oozing with nostalgia for a large portion of the fan base.

Heartbreaking that IceJerseys is closed. Their work was top notch and the only place I would have entertained buying a jersey from. Pro weight numbers, fully stitched. Way better than anything you could get from the NHL or Sabres stores. I'm going to have to see how Cool Hockey does with their customization.

Hard not to like any of this.
-
This is good news. The NHL's jersey rules always seemed insane to me. Let teams do as many jerseys as they want. It prints money and fans like it.
-
The fact that the team is pushing the league to let them wear the whites at home as much as possible is a GREAT development. The white jerseys at home, which are the best white jerseys ever made, are iconic.

YES. THE RED EYE.

Yeah I caught myself. It's the white piping between the stripes on the blue jersey. Not sure how I feel about it, but I'll get over it lol
-
Nit picky, but I could have done without the silver piping in the stripes. Actually it looks like just white piping on the blue home. I don't know if that was necessary. But otherwise they did exactly what they needed to do. They didn't screw it up. Now just give me a player who's jersey I actually want to buy and I'm gonna be a happy camper.

At least they let you change the nameplate on the back after the guy gets traded

The Sabres played a Winter Classic in 2018?

Carrying the textured jersey crest over from the 50th is one of the main details I'm really hoping for. As has been said before: getting this right should be a piece of cake. Doing the textured bison would be an easy W.

I picked Florida because it's the saddest franchise on the list.

The Panthers fan doesn't deserve this

You know how your wife always called me "Sunk Costs"? That's the difference between you and me. Your money spending choices were innocently dumb, whereas mine were (are?) made with full, clear-headed awareness that they are stupid ? -

It would be a really big step in the right direction for the Sabres marketing team if they straight up trolled us with a gag reveal of a bad jersey. -

*Lafontaine And yes. -
It got quite a bit of play over on twitter, but given the way the world is, we all had to move on to the next case of injustice pretty quickly.
-
I don't make enough extra money to even think about doing that lol

Yup. It's been so nice to not have to make payments during the pandemic. I'm not looking forward to that coming to an end.

Every body just ignoring my nuclear reactor post in the randomer thread smh

Nice job! Back before COVID I always fluctuated between 205-207. I'm between 193-195 now. Shooting for under 190 by September, which is a number I haven't seen since I was in high school. I've been doing reasonable exercise (walking on my lunch break every day), this pull-up regimen I found (I'm up to a max of 7, two months ago I couldn't do ANY pull-ups), some planks, and some hiking. Haven't started cycling again yet, but I think that's coming soon. Diet made a huge difference though. The pandemic has me eating out a lot less. I also started subbing in mineral water (Topo Chico, when I can get it at Wegmans) for beers in my fridge, so that on nights when I want something besides water from the Brita I can reach for something other than a beer (at least to start ?). Cutting out the odd 150 calorie beer here and there is big.
