That preliminary. With the gun boats. It was extremely dumb. Military stuff in this show used to be fun. Now it's just stupid. Like the writers have no idea how to write. Yup. All the cleverness seems to have been abandoned.

Apparently it's very easy to hide giant boats. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Everyone is stupid. Which is not entertaining. At all.

The entire preliminary assault on King's Landing was dumb as hell. Her actions during the battle of winterfell were super dumb. It's like they're trying to make her the dumb queen, not the mad queen.

If the writers are trying to convey conflict they are failing. The only thing they're getting across at this point is that Daenerys is, apparently, extremely stupid. She's too stupid to burn anything to the ground. She was smart, and now she's stupid. This show is going to kill off a bunch of people and the only reason for it is going to be "well, they were idiots." They really shouldn't have added these "making the show" things after each episode. The writers come off as incredibly basic and lacking in creativity.

I really don't like what the show writers are doing with Daenerys. She's not my favorite character in the world by any means, but they're really rushing her downfall. I get that there are only a couple episodes left, but this all feels really...weird.

Everything about the Winterfell strategy depends on whether or not the Night King is singularly focused on the Three Eyed Raven. Indications are that this is certainly the case, but it's a tough roll of the dice. The Night King was created by the Children of the Forest to wipe out the First Men, and that includes more than just the memory of man as contained in the Three Eyed Raven. I do think the battle should have been fought somewhere more appropriate than Winterfell because, as mentioned, it's a bad castle. But it's ultimately also the last thing standing between the army of the dead and the rest of the people of Westeros (if you care about those kinds of things, Jon...Dany...Jaime...). Rock and a hard place. Do you fly Bran on a dragon to an island closer to the wall and hope the Night King comes calling? Or is the Night King more than just a machine and capable of strategy?

I have the VIN number from my first car on the back of my left arm and a modified version of the Genesee Beer wheat logo on the back of my right arm. Both are representative of things that were meaningful to me, my first car and the freedom it symbolized, and the 10 years I lived in Rochester. I don't think tattoos need to have meaning. Because I know so many tattoo artists, I think about it from the standpoint of patronizing an artist. Find talented artists who's work you appreciate. Even if it's really stupid. It's the same thing as buying a print at an art festival but instead of high gloss photo paper the medium is you.

Whither Lightbringer, the Sword that was Promised? Something doesn't make sense. The Long Night, in a literal sense, never fell. And Lightbringer was never pulled from the fire. Was this whole Night King thing just a plot device? Is the Long Night something else entirely? Magic and religion in the GoT universe obviously have a ton of importance. So how could the Lightbringer prophecy not bear fruit?

GMTM's hands-off approach to running the team was a bad situation for Lehner. I have no idea if he knew about Lehner's issues, but he certainly wasn't doing anything to help the guy. It's one of the many reasons he was fired. I think if Botterill wouldn't have had to qualify him at +$4mil Lehner likely would have stayed and gotten the same help he got on the island. But the cost to undertake a reclamation project was too high. Much easier for the Islanders to roll the dice on Lehner at bargain pricing.

Updated Todd McLellan OUT of the Running Sabres HC Position

I believe it. People here would still ***** talk Brett Hull in the airport. Botterill is safe because he hasn't slighted (real or perceived) the city of Buffalo yet. -

No way. This city is vindictive as hell. If anyone even goes to the Frozen Four you could bet they'd be booing his kid. People are still mad about Jimmy Vesey. -
Yeah, let's get a few more in here. I need more teams to beat.

Okay, but just to be clear, Karin Housley is a racist. -
This is dumb. They should be doing profiles of the top prospects or something.
