  1. I bought that scrambler for $400 off of a guy on Aero Dr. We loaded it into the back of my brother's minivan so I could take it back to Rochester. I then proceeded to take the entire bike apart, repaint the frame, redo the wiring harness, and ride it for a summer until the cam chain let go and I gave up on it. Sold it to a roommate who eventually took it all the way to California and sold it to a guy there. Cool little bike, but way too small for a guy my size haha
  2. My Gramps also rode Indians and the current revivals are great. If I ever got back into riding I'd heavily consider one. That CB750 was largely the handiwork of the guy I bought it from (for about $800). He swapped a bunch of Buell parts onto it and it was just about perfect. I liked the speedo only look, who needs a tach. Arguably one of the most important bikes of the 70s and it was all because of that engine.
  3. I only ever had two bikes and they were both crap but I liked them. That ratty CB750 screamed with the velocity stacks when you'd open it up.
  4. @dfdtrumpet If you end up going the used route like Pimlach suggests and need a phono pre-amp I have one in a box somewhere that I'm not using. You'll know you need one if you hook the record player up to your chosen receiver's inputs and no sound comes out lol I recall this place being a good source for parts, particularly belts for belt drive turntables, as well as cartridges and styli: http://www.elexatelier.com/
  5. Kessel with Eichel is duo America deserves.
  6. It's not about being an audiophile so much as making sure that the record player you buy is able to be: 1. Properly adjusted in order to protect the records you spend your money on 2. Maintained for the long term (parts availability) I've been very happy with my Audio Technica AT-LP120. It's not too expensive and it's not too cheap. It's just right. https://www.audio-technica.com/cms/turntables/583f30b3a8662772/index.html Gave the new album a listen today. It's good. Not their best album, but it rips just fine. They put on a great show and I wouldn't hesitate to see them again if they come nearby.
  7. I'm sure they do. So they're more than welcome to have me unsubscribe and go back to the illegal streams.
  8. I've said before that I think the VPN with NHL.TV is a gray area and I see nothing wrong with going this route. I'm paying the NHL for the product I want. I know some corporation out there is getting screwed because I'm not watching advertisements on their network. But screw em for holding the product I want hostage.
  9. I proposed Risto for Bergeron in another thread and the more I think about it the more it makes sense.
  10. Bergeron might sneakily be one of my favorite players of the last decade. He's also been one of the most consistent players in the league over that time frame. He's missing more time due to injury than he used to but he's still very very good. Bergeron, Krejci, Chara, and Marchand are a helluva core. Here's a fun scenario. Would you trade Risto and a 1st to get 3 seasons of Bergeron? Chara has one year left on his deal and I bet he retires when it's up. edit: maybe that's too much. What about Risto for Bergeron straight up?
  11. I think that's good logic for pretty much any team that isn't the Bruins. That leadership core they have there is strong glue. They might not look great in game 1, but they'll be fine the rest of the series, especially if it goes to 7.
  12. I don't think the Bruins will be rusty. Their veteran core has faced so many different situations in the playoffs over the years that they always seem ready for anything now. The way they prepare for games has to be a finely tuned machine at this point and their younger players most definitely follow the leaders. The Blues, meanwhile, are in uncharted territory.
  13. This is going to be a war of attrition.
  14. The Blues are a boring team. Soooo how about Kane not actually being built for the playoffs?
  15. He killed two people. Everything he did before that is irrelevant. I expect you to understand that.
  16. This is a surprisingly bad take from you.
  17. It's got nothing to do with changing history. It's about leaving OJ to history itself.
  18. Good. It's time for the Bills to move on from OJ.
  19. GMs don't micromanage coaches like that in the NHL. I'm sure they had conversations about it, but (and I know Botts even said this on WGR) lineup decisions are up to Phil. If Phil didn't take his GM's advice, welp, there's one reason why he's not around now.
  20. Did somebody say Yacht Rock?
  21. I mean, it basically has to be this. But I have to admit that not actually getting something we can point to as Lightbringer is super disappointing. And where was Jon ever "born" of salt and smoke. Maybe when I re-watch I'll see it. But man, I don't know. All in all, it could have been worse. It just also could have been better.
  22. I liked Jon trying to do the right thing and still getting exiled. It fits his character that he would have to accept Justice. I like Bran as king. I like Sansa as QotN.
