  1. What a thing to be right about lol
  2. Fred Stanfield's son just started at our company last week in sales. You can see the resemblance.
  3. Lundy is perfectly capable of giving up like 6 goals if the Sabres want him to.
  4. Gonna have to muck their way back into this one
  5. Guys, Lundqvist isn't good anymore. Just shoot the puck.
  6. Yeesh. Dahlin with the big turnover.
  7. Did Dunleavy just say the pace of the game was good? Good grief.
  8. Things Bylsma and Housley refused to do.
  9. That sounds even worse!
  10. They might as well just leave. Why wait for the evacuation order if you can see the fire?
  11. I hate the Rangers because I still have bad memories of Jagr doing bad things to us when he was with them.
  12. I think that passes the eye test. We're defending better and playing a better team game, but the offense at 5v5 still leaves something to be desired.
  13. That's not how this works. You don't get to decide things like what words have their meanings washed clean of additional meaning. The people who exercise ownership over those words get to decide. "Lynching" didn't belong to black people until it was used deliberately against them as a form of orchestrated racial oppression. Our white American ancestors gave "lynching" to them in the literal sense. And because of that, they're the ones who get to decide when to allow it back into the American lexicon without any additional contextual meaning being ascribed to it. And because black people, like any other group, are not a monolith, they aren't going to just get together and have a vote on it. So "lynching" is going to carry a special connotation with it for as long as is necessary, until, say, factory workers in Ohio stop hanging up nooses at GM plants. We live in the shadow of history every day. And we don't get to just shrug that off.
  14. Housley was also a dipshit so...
  15. This situation in Canada with Trudeau and the Libs feels a lot like New York State and Cuomo/NY Dems. No one here really likes Cuomo, but he wins because we're not dumb enough (at the moment) to elect any of the schmucks NY Republicans run. At some point this is going to be a problem for the NY Dem party machine because it does a great job of discouraging primary challengers not just against Cuomo, but against any incumbent Dem in any office in the state, and that pisses people off/discourages Dem turnout in general elections. Canada Libs and NY Dems are both due for a reckoning at some point here.
  16. I, for one, support the unbanning of Head Coach Ralph Krueger even though I hate it.
  17. It's funny. His advanced stats paint a picture that says he's not playing any better than he ever has, and in some ways he's playing worse. But something is happening team-wise that is limiting the damage he can do. He and McCabe are drawing a ton of D-zone starts which assumes their pairing is starting with the LOG line most often. So maybe it's the LOG line that is making Risto look competent?
  18. Probably a nice change of pace from Phil.
  19. I get the feeling that in games where an opponent is really shifty we're going to see less of the LOG line. They're perfectly useful against most teams, but San Jose was giving them fits with their speed and stick work. A game like that means the more talented lines get most of the work even if they aren't typically defensive shutdown lines. Sometimes you just need the talent to turn the tables quickly on an aggressive opponent.
  20. I rarely get pulled over. I got tagged for speeding a few times when I was younger but it's been a while. And the one time was because my speedometer was broken and I should have known better lol The one that pissed me off was back in grad school. I was coming home with some chinese takeout so I could work on homework and I rolled a stop sign in our little residential neighborhood. It just so happened to be Halloween, and it just so happened that some hero-cop State Trooper who used to live in the neighborhood had gotten permission to park his squad car behind a some bushes on a resident's lawn near the stop sign so he could write people tickets all night. Real solid use of a STATE TROOPER's time, right? I made sure to ask him when he would be back, since he cared about the neighborhood so much. He didn't like that. But I never saw him again because obviously he didn't care that much. Jabroni.
  21. That looks like a good goal to me
