To add to Smell's take, the number of officials that would have to be solicited to participate in these conspiracies would be large. Are you telling me not one had the integrity to quit and tell the world about it?

I've read several journalistic accounts of the email "scandal" and don't see anything remotely close to what you're describing re: biased refs and targeted assignments of those refs. It's kind of on you at this point to provide a link or snippet.

If we cede the argument to SwampD and Eleven et al, the question that emerges is why these guys want to watch games that are rigged against their teams? It would be a tad bit uncomfortable to have Krueger leap above the man who hired him. Also, this move is necessary because Botterill has not gotten the job done. Now, if Jason were amenable to it, he could be AGM for cap space or something (OTOH...).

You don't have to fire RaKru, just promote him to hockey czar. Petey then replaces Ralphie. You have to fire Botterill, of course, but the AGM and other staff can help Ralph run the team for the rest of the season until a new GM can be brought in.
