Come on, Roch, put some meat on the bone! You showed us what you're capable of and THIS is the sequel?!

I've been as evenhanded as anyone in this thread. Show me where I've implied his "guilt." Anyway you missed the point or I wasn't clear. It's a fact that the second reporter mentioned the quote during the Zoom call. Some in desperation to defend TP have suggested even that didn't happen, which is ridiculous.

I like that you're not even pretending to be fair and balanced anymore. It's also funny that it's only Trotter that YOU want to smear, not the person who voiced the alleged quote at the Zoom meeting. Part of the lawsuit is how the league handled the allegation and the impact on Trotter for making a complaint about it. Trotter is merely reporting a fact... his colleague's voicing of the quote. TP should have sued that dude if the quote was made up. He's certainly not suing Trotter.

For those who don't know (like me) Jordan Palmer is not the QB coach of the Bills.

Let's try some logic. If the league interviewed everyone at the dinner where Pegula is alleged to have made the comment, then the comment must have been mentioned during the NFL Media Zoom meeting to start the whole process. That much would seem to be not in doubt. Except you clearly have a doubt that it was even mentioned during the Zoom meeting. That seems odd and illogical. My question is why wasn't the original reporter sued? Why the one who is merely citing the alleged quote as part of a lawsuit? By the way what's missing from the TBN story citing a leagur source is what the investigation yielded about the reporter. What's his or her side of the story?

Rick always claimed no one gave the Sabres a chance to make the playoffs, hence his Now Do You Believe, Do You Believe, and There's Room on the Believers Bandwagon calls.

1. That's my Sabres hat if I ever get to lean on @inkman. 2. I once lost a heated Scrabble game, my first and only loss to any of my nieces or nephews, when my 14-year-old nephew placed GIZ. I wouldn't challenge in front of my mother, who later said matter of factly, "That's not how it's spelled."

I'm confused. You keep lumping the corporate communications arm of the NFL (NFL Media) in with the professional media for lack of a better word. It's entirely plausible that 40 people who work for the NFL would never have delved into the quote. The confusion... are you suggesting the second reporter never relayed the quote during the Zoom meeting? Trotter made the whole thing up? Did he also make up the part about his boss saying the issue was being dealt with in HR New York? Would it ever get to HR without someone confirming the second reporter's statement? Maybe by asking two or three or 19 of those in the meeting if it was said?

Clarification is needed. These were employees of the NFL. NFL Media. They were not media members in the traditional sense. Brian Duff for example is not a media member. I think you want to give the impression that someone among 40 "journalists" would have reported it, and the fact they didn't is evidence the quote was not mentioned. But they were not journalists. It's hardly shocking that NFL employees wouldn't touch that quote. You'd think that among the 40 people said to have heard what Trotter alleges, at least a few would come out and say, "That never happened."
