Why do they have to be cash poor in order to look for cash?

Climbing into the stands and attempting to stab a fan with a skate? Oops, wrong team.

And then we have American pro sports, which apparently don't fall under the label of "just about every place on earth".

I don't know a thing about Trotter, but I don't believe it was his intention to go after Pegula at all here. It's the media who jumped all over one small portion of the legal documents and threw Pegula under the bus. He's not the one out there writing these headlines, the only thing that the majority of people out there actually read. That belittles Trotter's case as well, making it all about Pegula instead.

Remove the limit. I need more references from K9 that I am clueless about.

You’re supposed to be sympathetic towards a harm when someone is dragging your name through the mud to support their claim. I don’t know many who are going to be able to get past that. And quite honestly, I think the response from Pegula is much more aimed at the headlines and stories yesterday than it is at Trotter.

Add a zero to that figure, please.

Has it ever actually been stated that Trotter filed the original complaint? Either way, it just seems crazy to me that there can even be much to investigate at that point. You’re two years removed from what looks to be a one-on-one conversation. Your just as likely to find out which magazine article Terry was reading while sitting on the can that day.

But we want the geese to stay in Canada.

The CHL is concerned about losing their best players. Who are the CHL players that are drafted? Their best players. I really don't see any reason for either side to modify the current arrangement. The CHL wants to keep their players as long as possible and the NHL gets to retain the rights to a player longer. They're not going to make waves for a handful of unique cases.
-
That's exactly what I meant. But anyway, the "screw the CHL" stance makes it very difficult for a conversation on a topic that you started. Every other league has a transfer agreement (ok, most of them) and the CHL needs one as well.
-
Let's face it, the players that would be moved up early are not going to be evenly distributed around the CHL. What happens when 5 different NHL teams all decide to use this early call up on guys all playing on the same team? I can't picture teams agreeing to that kind of risk.

And then it comes down to OHL vs. WHL. It looks like Bedard is the only one who ever got exceptional player status to play young with the WHL. I'd imagine they don't like messing around with the rules very often.

I'll be in that boat eventually. I was actually thinking at the course about when my son is in school I'll be able to hang out with his friend's grandparents.

I snuck out this morning for a golf lesson. At one point the pro, who I'm pretty sure is younger than me, mentioned his daughter in college. Meanwhile here I am with a 1 year old. For the longest time I always used to gauge people's age by the age of their kids. I really need to find a new system.

Has the league/team provided any information on why they gave him that exemption?

That 03-04 team scored a lot of goals, if my counting is correct, 10th most in the league. I do remember there being some good vibes coming from that at the end of the season. Of course, the lockout destroyed that. Oh sure, group together to two big physical forwards who played 3 years at BU. Seriously though, I hope he can be this team's Mike Grier. I absolutely loved the guy. I'm guessing I'm one of very few who have that jersey.
