I hope they take the opportunity to make the real versions of the first 3 movies available. I'm not one of those "Han shot first" nerds (it was a stupid change though), but the CGI of the added scenes does not mix in well and the music change at the end of Jedi is criminal. I'll be waiting on Disney plus until a few more episodes of certain shows are available. I'm not crazy about the weekly releasing.

And the best part with Kovalchuk? They're stuck with his cap hit no matter what... next year too. No one will be taking him off their hands, especially if this is a big issue.

He was one of the most iconic faces in Canada for so many years. It doesn't matter what the NHL might admit, he was essentially the face of hockey for an entire country. Maybe there's a bit of hyperbole in that statement, but I'm comfortable making it. Why all of a sudden is his editorializing worthy of all of this? That's the world we live in today.

I suggest you go back and read the first portion of that post if you really think that's what I'm saying. Your relevance as a whole and as the main mouthpiece of a sports league are two completely different things.

A broadcast network can air whatever they want. They're the message presenter, not the talent. If Cherry really wants to present these topics, there's a venue for it where it's not done on someone else's dollar, the dollar of someone who doesn't like that message.

I just wish that instead of instantly condemning anyone with opposing views, we would instead try to understand why they have them. With Cherry, you have a guy who grew up during world war 2 and it's immediate aftermath. I'm not surprised that someone like that would have the views he has. That's not really the issue here. If we stopped the presses each time an old person had a controversial view, nothing would ever get published. Hmmm, maybe that's why print died. He's got every right to think how he does and I understand why. That doesn't mean he should have a national broadcast to spout those thoughts. His time has passed and it's time to move on.
