Isn't one of the complaints we have about the sabres is they lack any superstars? I am guessing by not a superstar but a popular fella you mean someone that is not expected to contribute offensively much or in the skill department. So I am guessing one of Kaleta, McCormick, Ellis, Weber, or Regehr. Of thous Only Weber and Regehr had what I would say was low stat years (unless you think Kaleta can put up better numbers). between Weber, Regehr, and Kaleta only Regehr strikes me as someone that played like a guy with a injury. I remember some hip type injury and then not much being said thou he still played near the level as when he was on injury report. So Mr. Drane I conclude it was Regehr with a hip/leg injury in the doctors office with the candlestick.

if the players are so dead set against losing money and getting their contracts "honored". I propose that they lock the salary cap where it is and if there is HRR growth it stays there until 50/50 is reached. if HRR drops then salary cap drops at twice the percent. Once 50/50 is reached the salary cap stays where it is at until the imbalance of the freeze years is made up. At which point the cap is linked back to HHR. Yes I know the players will never say yes cause it would mean possible years of getting less then 50/50 but at the moment i dont give a damn about them. They are essentially saying yes I will take a pay cut just pay me the rest of my salary off the books

You offer up your keister (symbolically I hope lol) and then follow it up with excuses and hope for the status quo of this team. By most things I have read in your posts that is the thing you say myself and others that don't insta-hate on Ruff/Regier do. I am not saying your being a apologist, a realiest, or even Gailey/Nix's fluffer. I am simply saying I think you have a huge blind spot where these 2 and this team are concerned. As for the Cardinal game I would give it a 30% chance they win the game and play it good. I give them that high of odds only cause it is the cards and they have a history of bad games. The result of this weeks game will not change what this team is, even if Fitz throws for 450 yards and 5 TD and our 100 million dollar man has 6 sacks. This will still be a team with a inaccruate inconsistant qb with a defense that either has horribly overrated/overpayed players or a scheme and coach that needs to be shown the door
