If you have done nothing wrong and you are still being taken in dont resist. Go with them and then sue the ###### out of everyone. That is the american way.

just wanted to add. I really don't see this as a racial divide. i see this as a poverty divide. poor people regardless of color seem to be more likely to act in this manner with cops. I am sure studies would probaly say something about the poor having higher crime rates and such leading to mistrust. whatever the reason I feel fairly confident that distributing some of the wealth a bit lower on the food chain would help out a bit.

Lack of respect. the more this country ages the less we respect one an another. it starts with the kids seeing their parents lack of respect with the world. it culminates with cops overreacting to situations that should be easier to control.

couple things first don't ###### resist arrest, anything that happens after you resist makes you partly at fault. second there is a right way and a wrong way to deal with a officer that is over stepping his authority, quick hint being disrespectful and resisting are not the right way. Third no matter how in the right you are if a officer wants to take you in you are going in. lastly you can hate cops, you can hate the person wearing the badge, but respect the badge. it is a deadly job. it is made up of imperfect and flawed individuals. the job is to protect and serve. we can argue (rightfully so) about the system overstepping that mandate but I will not hold up individuals that committed crimes and resisted arrest as the paragons of the wronged. lastly (no really this time) Am I asking to much of society today to put the spotlight on people that have been wronged and done nothing? i am no law expert but there is a big difference in not letting a officer into your home and not following ones instruction out on the street
