I have been reading how to do this and the eaisiest way is to just accept text input and overlay it on a graphic.

All the stats are getting rebuilt in the background. So any deleted posts are getting deducted from totals.

I can use php programming language to create dynamic graphics, but I have never done it before. Integrating it into the workflow is a separate obstacle.

You receive them incremented in your tally when someone uses the reaction feature in a post. Either using the like button or the thanks button. I will do that on this post and you will see your number go up by one.

I am wondering how that would be implemented? Would it be a button you push and then you get a pop up window where you insert the lineup and that it inserted into your post? Should there be some sort of persistency where everyone has their own personal line up that is saved and then tweaked as they see fit?

Point taken. After some tests and tweaks, it is working well on the Bills side. I’ve eliminated any incentive to play games with the feature. Now, it is simply a tally of posts that people have gone out of their way to either like or say thanks. There is no thumbs down. No reason to attack a poster. No artificial competitions. Just small acknowledgments. Ha. But what I did not realize is that all of the previous tallies were kept from past iterations. I should probably just start fresh and make everyone go to zero.

Would it make sense to have some sort of integrated lineup generator feature here? Something where you just type in the names and it auto formats it?

On your phone, you just use them as you normally would in any application. On the desktop, you just click the smiley face in the toolbar and insert one of the hundreds you normally see on your phone. Posted from my desktop: ??????✅ These weren't available before.

Ah. I’ll put this in my tips. So, this is part of a built in reputation system that I have only partly implemented. I decided to use it only in a positive sense. Some of the reactions (as they are called) give a member a point as a way to let other people know that over time a member makes a lot of positive community contributions. However, I have suppressed “top ten” lists that might create silly competitions. One way that we will push for it to be used is to be able to give a thumbs up or thanks without creating a new post. I think that is useful and it helps keep The signal up and the noise down. I will look into that. I went configuration setting by configuration last night trying to make them identical where desired.

Just some things I'll try and highlight as I think of them.... 1. I made some nice mobile phone icons if you want to bookmark the front page/forum to your phone screen 2. If you hear an audible sound when you get a notification - you can turn it off here: https://www.sabrespace.com/community/notifications/options/ 3. You now have access to the full modern mobile emoji suite when using the desktop. 4. You can tag people on posts if you wish to call attention to your post. just type the @ and then their name. e.g. @Eleven 5. Embedding youtube, twitter, etc... should be much more straight forward. Just paste the link. 6. Tap the yellow circle/star to go to last unread post 7. Tap the time under the Avatar on the right to go to the last post in the topic Others to follow as I think of them....

I honestly think if we do this right and learn some new muscle memory - it will be a great feature.
