  1. That's soooo cute that he considers THAT soul-crushing. I just want to tousle his hair and smile at the innocence...

  3. The server move will happen within the eight hour window that I mentioned. It should be down for approximately three hours after it starts.
  4. Our server is in Texas. Don't mess with Texas.
  5. The entire server will be shutdown, unplugged, loaded on a trailer and moved across town. Any website I own will be offline.
  6. Our server is being migrated to a new data center Monday night between 10 PM and 6 AM ET. Typical length of time down has been three hours so far. Of course, rebooting servers makes me anxious. If the time lasts longer than three hours then there was an issue that is being dress from the move. Keep an eye on our account on Twitter if there appears to be an issue.
  7. Sick assist by Jack. 26 points in his first 40 games. Very nice.
  8. Was just getting ready to post this. On Canada's goal.
  9. Am I the only one who laughed like crazy at that video?
  10. I really don't understand how a movie that was meant to advance a story line gets a free pass from so many people with the rehashed story lines. There's a difference between a nod to the original trilogy and we can't think of anything else, so let's just repeat it. The Empire searching again for a droid that contains valuable info? Two ultimate death weapons that both have a single point failure that require x-wing fighters to attack that one point, but only after our band of heroes disable the shields? Seriously? I thought the movie lacked the quiet time that develops characters, like Luke and Ben in the cave in IV or Luke and Yoda in V. Until I read a few pages here, I was pretty disappointed/sad about the Ren and Rey battle. That she was able to kick his ass like that really turned me off given how much emphasis Jedi training had in all the other movies. I know have hope this is possibly justified. Thanks for giving me new hope. It wasn't terrible. The dialog was decent and the cinematography was excellent. Saw it in 3D. Would like to see it 2D again.
  11. While I was busy sulking over Reuben Randall's TD that bumped me out of the running for some petty cash, I was fairly confused at what 11 could even be referring to... Scene to scene copyright sounded rather insane. Anyway... Josie posted my only thought. "Nice things" and all that...
  12. I'm sorryā€¦ What type of copyright violation are they looking for?
  13. Play by play was good. What did you like about the color? I thought it was awful. Awful because what ever he was saying was nothing close to what I was seeing with my eyes. Born in the USA.
  14. That was also my first look at Auston Matthews. I couldn't pick him out of a lineup with the Harlem Globetrotters.
  15. Nothing like playing an anti-American song when USA scores. You would think this was the Reagan administration.
  16. And there's no way those two tiny packets of ketchup are going to be enough for that pile of fries.
  17. well, certainly not against my will... :flirt:
  18. Unless he was special advisor to the fans, why would anyone have any expectations to know anything about anything he did?
  19. My general philosophy on fan trade proposals is find the compensation where you finally say "I wouldn't do that", and start from thereā€¦
  20. Thanks for the discussion and your support everyone. If I don't have your support, then thanks for understanding, if I don't have your understanding - well then go Sabres! I'll close this thread with the greatest decision/rebirth song ever written...
  21. I have written a dozen posts today, 100/1000s of words and have deleted them all. My better judgment says to just stay out, but just a couple words if I can actually manage to complete this one. I saw no end to these types of posts: Is there any respect shown for anyone with these posts? Any consideration? Chz is an adult now. By my calculation a very late 20's adult. She could be married and ready for a family or maybe is crushing a new career. Does she deserve this? Is this justifiable in the name of healthy cringiness and thought-provoking contrary analysis? All I see is disrespect and ZFG. I didn't even mention the post where he worked in child molestation (just to tweak the mods because all volunteers deserve to be constantly tweaked and pecked at), the pictures in his profile nor the rehashing of yesteryear's battles that chase universally loved and respected posters away. The Sabres are writing a new chapter in their history. The community has evolved, but sometimes the evolution doesn't reach everyone. I truly want better for our community. Or maybe I just want to visit a place where I don't have to tense up every time I open a thread. Maybe having both isn't unreasonable...
  22. I am very cognizant that there isn't one correct way to run a message board. Ask 1000 people what to do and you get 1000 different answers. My way is no better than anyone else's way. However, you can't implement 1000 different methods. You can only implement one, so public discussions just make people angry because it isn't they way they would have handled the situation at hand. (A primary reason being that in a situation like this most people have partial information and no two people have the same partial information. No one is privy to everything that has transpired both public and private over so many years, so their opinion is not fully informed.). I therefore rarely discuss this stuff in public. There's no point. Second, having a one-sided conversation is also not fair to everyone involved. It's not fair that I am free to say what I want without rebuttal. I choose to respect that asymmetry. Given that, there isn't much to know. This wasn't a single event, so there really isn't much to say. This was a 1000 ft view decision, not a heat of the moment one. X checking out was just a public example of what I was feeling myself. Please don't take that as a sole event. It was just one of many under consideration and it happened to just be a very recent, but very symbolic example. So, there's nothing really more to see. As I explained to him, it just isn't a good fit anymore, for what I want this place to be, which is a shame since he did possess a lot of Sabres/hockey knowledge.
