  1. First of all, that is a tweet from a place called 12ozsports.com. They reference having multiple sources, but none of them are named. There is nothing confirming this anywhere. Not even a hint of it.
  2. Alternative interpretation: Tuch is looking for a way to reduce the heat on his teammates. He can’t defend the people who aren’t actually on the team.
  3. Alternate scenario: Team finishes on a tear in 22-23 and falls one short point of being in the playoffs. All the talking heads and fans expect another step forward in 23-24. Seeing the continued good fortunes of the team and the players getting more experience, Adams recommends to Pegula that Granato gets extended. After all, it appears that it is coming together. However, the good fortunes stop at the start of 23-24. By the 20 game mark, maybe Adams is seeing warnings signs? However, the situation was bright just a couple months ago. He is a deliberate guy. Measure twice, cut once. Game 40 rolls around. Quinn hurt. Samuelsson hurt. Thompson hurt. Does he go to Pegula and say - never mind... fire Granato? Oof. That is a hard conversation. Maybe the convo was had? Maybe Terry wanted/needed to give him the season to straighten it out, since he just renegotiated his contract? Maybe the deal was that they would pivot to a better defensive team and then judge the results? Maybe Adams accepted a deal to change from Granato? Maybe actual human beings are working through this, without the benefit of hindsight, and it isn't just straight negligence because the fanbase has been perpetually mad? Life has more nuance than black and white interpretations.
  4. "Pest" is the only positive attribute that has been used to describe his current game. Everything else is conjecture/wishful thinking. The only question is whether people are willing to wait to see if there is a pony in the pile of manure. Might take four years to answer that.
  5. You don't have to be all-in or all-out. There is a middle ground.
  6. So, you have never included yourself in a criticism simply to soften the criticism of your intended target?
  7. I think you would need to compare this to the other teams in the league. I seriously doubt that this is uncommon.
  8. Who, specifically, lacks the likeability that you speak of?
  9. I hate you with every bone in my body for this.
  10. It is almost as if the players on the ice is the most important thing in hockey.
  11. And the greatest coach ever to scream at his players flames out at the end. The flyers end up with 87 points. The greatest coach ever gets three more points out of his team than the worst franchise in all of professional sports. 🙄
  12. As I tried to explain, this take is timeline dependent. His press conference was a retrospective on the entire season. Your position is that he knew this in real time AND those issues could all be rectified in a matter of weeks - from the moment of recognition to the moment of saving the season. so what’s the timeline you think would be a realistic between recognition and saving the season?
  13. So what are you angry about here? The timeline? Don was extended after last season. Clearly they liked what they saw at the end, but that changed over this season. I know the attitudes about everyone changes after every shift, but obviously Adam’s opinion needed time to change. So what are we talking about? January or February versus now?
  14. That was the cynical fan take. Occam’s razor suggests that Casey was discussing practicing at altitude in Colorado. If you go back to the days of Ralph, those practices were considered light and everyone raved about Don‘s emphasis on compete in practice.
  15. My guess is that he really didn’t put your cell into his contacts.
  16. This is a super hard decision to narrow it down. So far here’s my process: First, I downloaded and printed out the all-time Sabres roster. Second step: I crossed off every player that was dead. Currently, I’m making a list of the greatest Sabres to wear a specific number. That should get the list down to about 80. After that, I think I’ll head over to hockeyfights.com and then see which Sabre had the best fights out of the jersey list. that will narrow down the list to about five. The last step will be the trickiest. Somehow I need to figure out which of these former Sabres are on blood pressure medication. I know it would be a HIPAA violation to ask, but I need to know who is a really angry person. Preferably someone on the verge of perpetual violence. Alternatively, I will accept a video of a former Sabre bag skating his eight-year-old’s hockey team. The more colorful the language the better. At that point, then you’ll know you’ll have the best hockey coach you could find.
  17. TW is top shelf. He is a rational guy who doesn't get too high or too low with a great ability to distill information over the long term. He also knows people and so he is worth paying attention to.
  18. Fires Ralph. Trades Eichel. Trades Sam. Trades Risto. Hires top-notch analytics team (presumably). Trades for Byrum. Trades Casey. I understand that fans don't think he has done enough, but he has done big things.
  19. I completely disagree. People may not like what they say, but where have they been deceptive to appease the masses?
  20. How does someone shoot a 74, but hasn’t applied themselves? I don’t see how that’s humanly possible.
