I’ll take things that are true for 1000, Alex.

Both teams were garbage
-
I'd say it's much more likely that it's due to the NFL allowing private equity to own stakes in teams which will drive up the purchase price of teams.

Report: Patrick Kane is signing with Detroit
PerreaultForever replied to Brawndo's topic in The Aud Club
They jumped over the Sabres and got closer, really close, and they didn't sell off picks/prospects to do it. I'd say that was a small success. I don't watch them enough to know much more. -
So the Wings were smart to lock $30M into Debrincat, Copp, Compher, Chariot, Holl and Husso to not make the playoffs? And Kane “knew something” because he picked the 41-win Wings over the 39-win Sabres? 🤔
-
Nice choice. You can’t imagine how satisfying it was for a 13-year-old Sabre fan in B.C. to watch his team knock out the Canucks. I got to watch the Sabres a handful of times a year if at all. But everybody in school was watching this. You also wouldn’t believe how easy it was for a young Sabre fan to be arrogantly dismissive of the Canucks back then.

Big if on getting rid of Skinner but Kane was really good coming off a serious hip surgery. He will probably be better next year with a summer of training. Give him a 2 year deal to finish off his career at home.
-
He extended it to 24 games tonight with an ENG to seal the series for Moose Jaw.

The only way the leafs win is if one of their players takes out Pastrnak with a cheap hit. Who was the maple leafs player that sucker punched the guy who scored on the empty net? Do that again.
-
I read that as I'll be there with a number of bidders.
-
Good question. I'll bet there will be a number of bidders.

Per Tim Graham a stake of 25% of the Buffalo Bills is for sale

Let's put this as a nothing burger for the 4th straight year -
If we get rid of Skinner I'm all for it
-
Exactly, he’s able to turn equity into liquidity without going public. Only significant change will be when they show TPEGS on tv during the game it will say majority owner instead of owner. Maybe he will have to grant minority partner right of first refusal if he decides to sell majority share.

Well I guess this discussion will be back on soon. https://www.nhl.com/news/patrick-kane-unlikely-to-return-to-detroit-red-wings-next-season -
His net worth has gone up by 3 BILLION to over 7 BILLION now since he bought the Bills so, I think he is doing kinda alright. Basically the guy gets to pay an arm and a leg to sit in a cool box and talk to some people but have no control of anything. Wonder who will pony up about 750 mil for the right to do that?
-
Well I think it's obvious they "should" be able to do it themselves, but they didn't and they can't so they need the push and to learn what it takes. Seems simple to me.
