  1. Past hour
  2. They announced it was a sellout. Also, supposedly the game was shown on Channel 4. (Not in the Buffalo market, so have to take Gurtler's word for it.) So, people in the Buffalo market might want to check the listings for the 13th when the Bandits host the Thunderbirds. Btw, Benesch was the "new guy" who's name was drawing a blank on last night who had one of the goals.
  3. They have been playing well lately, in the past 2 weeks, there have been multiple games they looked like the best line for the Sabres on the ice. Malenstyn has been interesting for me this season. He's not making a huge impact on the team playing the 4th line and getting less than 10 minutes per game even strenght ice time. I thought he started the season "OK", then had a stretch where he played really, REALLY bad, and now he is actually playing his role very well.
  4. I don't want Rosen on the 4th line but if you put Kozak in the 4th line center spot instead of Krebs or Replace Kozak in the top 9. Then you have room for Rosen
  5. I'm not there yet but maybe the message Tuch needs is a stint in the press box?
  6. I would say, we don't know. How many games has he played in his career? we do know that UPL and Lyon aren't "it" so play Ellis and see how he does over a long stretch of the season
  7. You created quite the convo off of it though...lmao
  8. And many on here wanted the get rid of Malenstyn and Dunne to keep Östlind and Rosen. We finally had some grit and people want to just throw it away for more finesse.
  9. Was the game sold out or close to it? The few times I have seen them on tv the crowd was energized and having a great time with most of the fans with a beer in their hands.
  10. There is no room for him. I don’t care what people think about Malenstyn, Dunne, or Greenway. They serve a purpose that the Sabres desperately need. Last night was a prime example. If it wasn’t for Malenstyn and the fourth line, it would have been a regulation loss. Let them continue to hone their craft in Rochester. Their time will come. This team isn’t worth going on in. Protect your emotional health 😂
  11. That's a great description of him in action, Doohickie. I just hope everyone is patient with him as he continues to develop with the ups and downs that are likely to occur in the meantime. With the position this team is in, I think it's the perfect time for Lindy to stick with him as our main goalie for long enough to give him the chance to prove whether or not he could be the goalie we have needed for such a long time. Even now it is so fun watching his movements when trying to keep the puck out of the net, sometimes cat like, sometimes a little spastic looking, but always battling in any way he can to make the stop. He doesn't give up.
  12. Today
  13. Kotalik used to shelf backhands all the time. I don’t see the connection.
  14. If Josh Norris returns on Monday then I’m all in. The Sabres need to stop playing with my heart, or whatever is left of it
  15. If only there was someplace that had a lot of power generation and water and could also use an economic ‘shot in the arm’.
  16. Saw that Dhane goal while waiting for the Sabres game to start. What an incredible power move that was!
  17. Probably meant to but couldn’t find his way to the KBC. Forgot the directions.
  18. Given the condition of the OL and an expected sloppy playing surface we may see some personnel groupings today that would make George Halas proud.
  19. I am just a dumb concrete and steel guy, but all the smart folks with actual nuclear degrees tell me that the "next generation" of nuclear power (both the Small Modular Reactors (SMR) and true Gen IV reactors) are more efficient in terms of how much of the heat from the reaction is captured and converted into power and the amount of power that is generated per unit of waste. Several of the companies out there that a vying to build the next wave of plants are even developing advanced and novel fuels. @Demoted - what you mentioned definitely makes me feel conflicted. On one hand, developing cleaner and safer technologies to provide power for the future is very exciting, but as you mention the need is primarily driven by AI and data centers which are, of course, disproportionately affecting areas that are primarily persons of color, the poor and poorly educated, or both. I feel a little better when I think that if not for new power, those disadvantaged communities may actually lose access to power because the politicians will certainly cater to "Mega Corp" instead of their actual constituents.
  20. Sucks they lost Fraser and Cloutier but nice to see familiar faces Ryan Benesch and Mitch De Snoo back with them... This team is still a wagon... 3 straight championships and 5 straight Finals appearances is quite the run they have had so far...
  21. When I saw the projected lineups yesterday, I wondered if Lindy was sending a message to Tuch and Tage in this respect? He puts Tage with Benson and Kozak, and Tuch with Doan and Östlund. I don't think the Zucker line needed it, as Zuck and McLeod tend to raise Quinn's effort.
  22. Malenstyn Krebs Dunne. Great chemistry. Puck hounds. Like to get dirty in the corners and the wall, love playing around the paint. Best 4th line combo this season. Great example to our top three lines.
  23. I just wish the Bills had an excellent blocking TE they could use to give Allen extra protection.
